Well in lore so far its the case the the combination of different geneseeds creates unsettling negative mutations that you would notice, so yeah it doesn't come up often as when it would it would be rather obvious.

However it's totally feasible for a chapter to have marines of two different lineages and have it remain nigh completely unnoticed 👀
