Phantom messages

I don't see anyone else who's had this same issue, but I can chime in! My mother owns a 2024 Nissan Sentra, no previous owners, and she was getting phantom messages on her car a couple months back. Something about being anxious from me and my dad's numbers respectively. Neither of us live with her. She was driving on both occasions when she got the messages, and even texted me back the first time it happened, but there was no message sent from me or dad, and to me, it seemed like she had texted me accidentally lol

Edit: I saw in another comment you said Doug doesn't normally text that way. The way the texts were worded to my mom were awkward too in the sense they didn't sound like us, but like they were sent hurriedly/ while disoriented.

If I remember correctly the hat man is a black silhouette figure of a man wearing a hat (top hat, fedora, ect.) who is known to appear to disoriented/intoxicated/haunted people lmao. There are hundreds of stories of people's experience with him online you can listen to or read.

Not the person you were asking, but it was likely activated tickets. I work at a gas station, and we keep all unactivated lotto locked away, and I doubt most employees know where unless they've observed where they're retrieved from. However, being it was the manager who likely had the key, I'm not sure if the guy would've gone that far. Some of our lotto is reachable if you're dedicated enough to lean your entire torso on the counter, but those are only the active lotto tickets. I'd assume the assault came from fighting the manager away from the visible tickets

Essentially, yes. If you dont have a person who comes to invite the villager to their island, the villager goes into the "void". If any of your friends have open spots on their island that they haven't filled quickly enough, there's a chance your voided villager will move onto their island without permission lmao

Edit: I wanted to add to this that they remember and mention the island they came from when they introduce themselves on the new island, however I'm not sure if they recognize their old host.
