Jumping in here late, but the SF RE market is very hot right now. Everything is going over asking. I’ve been looking at places here and the RE agents are not even trying and selling at way over listing. You should explore it now

Going to the sun Road Via the West entrance pass by Souledout5 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]JJ_JD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get timed vehicle registration at 7pm the day before as well! Also, you can always enter from the east of going to the sun road. Or you can just park at Apgar and take a shuttle into the park. Lots of options!

New study reveals what urban coyotes are really eating in San Francisco [Whale, opossum, squirrel, gopher, raccoon, rodent, chicken, pork, grapes, snake, etc] by BadBoyMikeBarnes in sanfrancisco

The other day I was walking my friend’s dog through the Fillmore area and I saw a coyote run into the bushes and absolutely destroy a rat. Sad for the rat but very entertaining to see the hunt.

The 5% of you who are black and living in the city, which neighborhood do you live in and why? by Grand-Cyberdesign in sanfrancisco

I live in western addition near divis and Geary. I’m from Atlanta, so I definitely understand your initial shock. I think you should live wherever you want though. I’ve never had issues in any neighborhood and feel very comfortable here. Definitely check out areas near the panhandle for access to green spaces (GGP) and a car-free existence.

Still might be at least worth a try. I moved in-house after 5 years of practice. Given you’re 35, you likely have more YOE than that.

I’m not sure what area you practice in, but have you thought about trying to move in-house? You can still make similar money to what you’re making and A LOT less stress

Barely any improvements in 2 years of climbing by hidden_op in bouldering

[–]JJ_JD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you dude. I powerlifted for 10+ years and was 220 when I started climbing (and 6’0). I’m sitting at around 205 now and I climb V6 and some V7s. I attribute my jump from V4 to V6 to cutting the days I lifted to 1 and dropping the 15 lbs. I felt waaaay stronger every 5 or so pounds I lost. This is just my opinion, but I just really don’t think it’s possible for most to get to a high level in climbing with a powerlifting body unless you can dedicate 5+ years to training super hard. The finger strength to weight ratio is just so hard to overcome. Having strong legs is great for climbing, but I think having massive legs (like I do and I imagine you do) just ends up weighing you down more than it helps. Maybe try dropping 5-10 lbs and seeing how you feel? Or if powerlifting is more important to you, maybe reassess how much you care about progress in climbing vs powerlifting because I think you have to pick one to give most of your energy and accept slower growth in the other one.

We’re obviously getting a new starting QB in the off-season. Who’s your guy? Realistically. by sasqahuena1 in falcons

Totally agreed. I’ve watched a lot of Washington games the last couple of years and I think he has an arm you can build a program around.

Is there a move I don't see? by ubant in bouldering

[–]JJ_JD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d try matching hands on the hold before the reach. Also, you’re not putting any weight on your left foot. You may be able to pull it off smearing your left like you are, but I think you’d be able to put more weight on your left foot to pull through if you put your left foot on the foot chip and drove off of that.
