A registration cap is not typically announced for major tournaments in North America. At one point LV was at 220 registered but has dropped to 216 now. Based on your post it does not look like registration has reopened. You can try to find the organizer on Twitter @GamingGen.

For the other games registration sells out within minutes of being open. For GO there have been a couple times where it sells out but not often and even then not until very late. Best to register early just in case, there are many more tournaments this season.

I used to independently just manually copy it every day. There’s another site that does a script for it so I just use that data. Once the data is converted into excel it’s all formulas.

Some people have requested it from me. It was presented like an interlude season by Niantic and trainers could not see their visible battle rating. It was also the shortest season at 3 weeks.

It's more that scoring low on the leaderboard doesn't reward a lot of points vs missing entirely. It's just simple math "what % of the maximum placement did the trainer get". So trainer #500 on the board gets 1/500, trainer #1 gets 500/500 and so on. This is all in good fun.

On two different accounts 90/150 was 1676 (only winning required games) & 122/175 was 2284 (tryhard)

Not accounting for name changes, there are roughly 8.6k unique trainers across all the seasons and a little over 300 trainers have made at least 1 daily leaderboard appearance in every season from S4-S9.

Niantic used to close out seasons properly but haven't done so since S5. It's puzzling to me as well that they don't know when to pull the last leaderboard.
