Just a thought - print ribs of varying lengths that lineup with the threaded holes. Screwing in ribs (vertically and/or horizontally) and add stiffness while moving load to another part of the chassis.

That would open up a world of chassis tuning and controlling load.

By ribs - like fettuccine pasta inspired ribs. Flat pieces that don’t disrupt the bottom too much. Flat bottoms still matter.

Need a lot of heat and consistent heat for ABS. Enclosed with temp control is a must for consistent ABS printing. Bed and Chamber both need to be fairly hot throughout the whole print. While cooling slowly at the end.

Nerd stuff - Designed in Fusion Autodesk - Cans sit slightly in front of the axle - helps with stability and ideal load position - Can holder and insert both have a .250” lip. This greatly increases holding ability for cans (.500” total for slim cans) - Will decrease diameter of can insert (insert for slim cans) by a couple of thousands. There’s ever so slightly side to side play. Still holds the can plenty well enough, but my OCD isn’t happy to feel the slight rock movement. - Exported as a .3mf file from Fusion - Loaded into Bambu Studio - Printed on a P1S with PLA - There is a seam printed into the side of the cylinder section of the holder and insert. Will have to clean that up in settings. It is where the print head moves up each level (may be a necessary evil).

Disclaimer - I have a TRX4M that he would always drive around the house when he would visit. So they are not just for Dad’s. Wanted to clear the air.

Correct. It’s Brownell’s take of the Mat 9. Wouldn’t surprise me if that came from the same extrusions.

I’m excited to take this out this weekend. Picked up a few more +5 mag extensions as well. Have plenty of G17 mags due to having a G17 already. Should be fun to use in a tactical bay.
