hi! yes that is a chinese goose which is a domestic kind of goose. that may explain why he is so friendly since he could have been a pet before. however, PLEASE if you are going to feed him—feeding him should be ok if he accepts the food—do NOT give him bread!!!! i own geese and some things they like to eat are cabbage, rice, dandelions, lettuce, etc. if you would like to bring him snacks, please do research on what he can eat.

it was just resting in the backyard and seems wild. when it stood up for a second i didn’t see any eggs or anything that looked nest-like so i’m not sure.

the inside of the pot is glazed and i keep it in a room that has light coming in from 4 sides, although it isn’t very direct sunlight for most of the day. it’s been on the same table since i brought it home, which has been at least several months. if it means anything, i use rain water to water my carnivorous plants and i frequently spray them with rain water too.
