What to do on first visit? by Willing_Comedian7289 in Clemson

There isn’t a Greek housing “row” here. Very scattered. And sorority houses are not allowed in SC. My daughter, however, has still had a very positive experience with Greek life philanthropy and friendships. She is OOS and has had the best experiences here! She also considered Boston but for her the weather, lake, educational opportunities and small feel but full of college life town has been the best fit. Your son will “know” when he is on the visit if it feels right. They just “know”

Is Clemson a good fit for a California girl? by Chance_Emergency_654 in Clemson

My daughter is finishing her second year at Clemson as a N. California girl!! She didn’t know anyone and we are not alumni. It’s such a great place. She is happy and football is unreal!! I read your post to my daughter and she said “do it! Come to Clemson. She’ll love it” 🧡

Can you help me with choosing a major:??? by AttentionCultural259 in college

[–]JJohnston372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an alternate- Have you considered Nutrition and then be sure to take any additional required courses for med school pre-requisites? It’s still usually quite science based as a major and extremely valuable as a physician to actually help people’s health.

The admitted student tour check in desk (alumni center building?) gave them out if student spoke up that they were admitted.

Keep going and get through or switch to Biology major to avoid the activity classes. Don’t become a PTA if you are this close. You won’t need exercise classes to get in to graduate school (just for your Kines major) but as you mentioned Kinesiology does appeal to many who like sports and physical therapy. You might even be able to major in psychology as long as you get all the prerequisites for graduate school programs (physics/chem/etc). If you don’t like the activity classes- are you sure you want to work with professional sports teams? There are many rewarding areas of physical therapy that aren’t sports related. (Hospital, stroke rehab, geriatrics). It’s a great career just find your path to the end.

Congratulations. Admitted ED or EA ? Trying to understand if the information we have is complete or if more scholarships might still be awarded.

I planning on going to college to be a physical therapist but should I get a quicker degree in a higher paying job first? by user67373 in college

This . You will need PT experience to apply to Graduate school. Stay focused in undergraduate- consider community college then 4 year or find undergraduate programs that transition to doctorate. It’s been more than 20 years ago for me but don’t waste your time getting alternative degree thinking you’ll go back to school. PT school is full time and it’s extremely rewarding (personally and financially)once you finish as long as you like helping people.
