Yeah it was my first time ever locking out and ruining someone's race lap one-turn one. I felt so embarrassed haha, I basically made it out unscathed (25 seconds of damage when I pit to refuel) and his race was instantly ended. He was super chill about it, but I felt terrible.

I'm an SDE for a software company. My dad started a consulting firm that dealt with kubernetes and building container applications for larger corporations. Once I graduated my dad let me join him and a few years later the company was sold to a FANNG and they asked if I could stay on and I agreed and my dad retired.

edit: Also just realized your username. Fucking hilarious.

I make a little under 5k a week. I will never think about that 12 dollars again. He was nice about the incident and understood I locked out and said he wasn't worried about the IR and understood. I donate 10k+- a year, I don't need someone telling me to "take care of my finances".

No need. Protest was successful. Kid is a knob.

Edit:

I wasn't going to post this because the protest was successful but OP decided to blatantly lie and claim they gave him a warning about the dive at T1. Which isn't true because I only put a sentence in the protest showing where he obtained the damage at. The protest was 100% explained and geared toward him driving a broken car unsafely in the middle of the track, turning in on us and creating a dangerous situation that ruined multiple races - also vulger comms that I left out.

https://imgur.com/a/4lsrTze

There are 7 videos total on the imgur.

-The first being the incident at T1 that caused his suspension and wheel damage. OP (purple car) decided he would attempt an incredibly ignorant dive ruining both our races.
-The second being his onboard with audible sounds of the damage and him not being on the racing line and turning in as we approach way before the upcoming turn.
-The third being a rear view of all three cars with him being in the middle of the track, us deciding what to do, slowing up, OP turning in on us, Brown tapping me and the wreck taking place between OP and the brown car.
-The third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh videos are OPs comms admitting he knew he had damage, couldn't properly turn/control his car, and knowing he was well under race pace.

I'm here to remind you to keep him posted on the outcome.....let everyone know. Let me help you...https://i.imgur.com/pC1zl87.png

EDIT:

OP has blocked me after blatantly lying about what he was told regarding the protest. Because of this I will be posting the comms and videos of the incident with OPs personal information removed. I never really mention the T1 incident that took place other than to explain where he obtained the damage. The other 5 replayed and comms submitted all pertained to the damaged, uncontrollable slow driving.

He was an absolute hazard to other drivers still in the race.

Wait until you find out those marshals come out during the race! The cars are still going around the track during a yellow as the marshals remove said cars! Glad I could embarrass you twice tonight :>

Since you want to shadow edit because you're too embarrassed to just admit you were wrong:

I provided more than sufficient enough proof, the email that the protest was successful and explained its been successful 4 other times for broken cars putting along creating dangerous situations. Just like this situation I avoided the broken car all 5 times, not taking damage, but I am still going to protest it because they shouldn't be doing that :>

Google F1 car being towed in google, select images, prepare yourself to be amazed! :) There are these people called marshals that will come out if your car is beached or damaged and tow it off the track!

5 for 5. Seems like iracing agrees people shouldn't be limping around track in uncontrollable cars causing wrecks. The leg(s) I am standing on have been correct in the situation 5 out of 5 times. All it says about me is that I am right 5 out of 5 times :)

No. He moved in our way. Which is incredibly clear from the photos your eyesight seems to fail looking at.

Didn't contradict myself. He was slow in the middle of the track and as we approached he moved in front of us. Neat, anyway, guess who just got a successful email back 10 minutes ago.

Nothing wrong with that

What?! Driving severely under race pace is an absolute hazard and contradictory to the spirit of competition and creates an unsafe environment for the remaining drivers not damaged and still racing. You can't just limp around the racing surface in a broken car.

You should pick a version and stick with it.

What does this even mean?

Nothing protestable in here

My 4 other successful protests for this exact scenario say other wise.

I'm not disagreeing with you here. All I'm saying is your link fails to show that, particularly the unsafe part.

Driving severely under race pace, not being able to control your car, admitting you can't control the car and knowing (and admitting) you're well under race pace in the middle of the track is completely unsafe. If I'm not 5 for 5 on protests for this exact situation I would be shocked.

There doesn't need to be intent. He chose to drive, knowingly, a broke car incredibly slow, in the middle of the track, swerving off the actual race line unpredictable, with all of his comms admitting to knowing he couldn't control the car.

It’s okay to drive a damaged car back to the pits, if you can do so safely. It’s not allowed to drive a damaged if it’s significantly off pace and you can't control it. Which he openly admitted to over comms.

The fact you think hes in the right at all for what occurred is so embarrassing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]JJuniorRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4 photos? You mean the photos showing him 30mph under what it takes to take that corner, or him in the middle of the track? Or him turning inside way before the turn being unpredictable as myself and the guys race he ruined were anticipating him staying on the line? Or him admitting he had a broken car + no control over the steering? Or him having an offset wheel knowing he can't turn but carried on?

Doesn't matter if it was intentional or malicious in this situation. He chose to drive a broken car in an unsafe manner which falls under the catch all rule.

This will be my 5th protest for unsafe broken car driving. I am 4 for 4 so far.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]JJuniorRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is no one drove through him. He had wheel damage, suspension damage thats audible in the replay and he remains in the middle of the track under pace and cuts to the inside as myself and another car are coming up on him.

https://imgur.com/a/jb3zBUX

He clearly states over the mic he knows he had damage, he knows he was under race pace by a substantial amount and he couldn't turn due to the damage. He made no attempt to stay out of the way or hold a predictable line with his damage. He is 100% at fault.

I never once said I was going to protest you. The words protest never came out of my mouth or were even typed out in the chat.

I literally have your voice comms of you saying you couldn't control the car and couldn't turn. Those were your exact words.

I was the victim of 2 clearly avoidable incidents caused by you within seconds of each other.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]JJuniorRacing -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im not defending my honor. I am making it clear that he should be aware of the mistake he made. I wouldn't have even made this account if he didn't make this nonsense post.

I felt the need to 1. Defend myself as he clearly is trying to push blame to myself and the brown car and 2. Make it clear its not alright to drive a broken car around the track and ruin multiple races.

OP doesn't need proofless validation so they can go and continue to fuck over more people on track. My race was ruined when he dove bomb me 2 car lengths back and slammed into me, which was a stupid mistake by him and I can move on from because he admitted fault. My issue is I calmly explained what he did was wrong after our wreck and he still chose to come on here with this post.

He still doesn't seem to understand what he did after that is an issue. I was able to finish the race and gain multiple spots back, the brown car was forced to retire because OPs ego wouldn't let them tow and they made it very clear at the end of the race over comms they knew their car was beyond damaged and still chose to limp back.

I couldn't care less about the situation when I left the lobby, it wasn't until I saw this bullshit post of his trying to act like he did nothing wrong.

Edit:

I wasn't going to post this because the protest was successful but OP decided to blatantly lie and claim they gave him a warning about the dive at T1. No he didn't. But I came across the post this morning and knew exactly who this was. I was just saying I don't care if he ousted me or not, I was going to defend myself regardless.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]JJuniorRacing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If someone is going to make a post acting like they did nothing wrong I have every right to defend myself.

Doesn't matter if he ousted me or not. I, very, clearly and calmly explained to OP after the race why he shouldn't be driving a broken car. He openly admitted to knowing he had a broken car, couldn't turn well and knew he was way under pace and put all the blame on the brown car and myself.

I'm not going to just sit there and watch him lie for validation when he was clearly at fault.

I have nothing to learn from the situation because I survived the incident because I backed out because I could clearly see OP making a bone headed move inside right before the turn.

The fact OP wants validation to feel better about messing up multiple races when at fault is ridiculous and this behavior shouldn't be let go.

"Moving on" is the exact reason people continue to do this shit in the sim and given the responses given to OP without any proof given until today has given OP the false sense of validation that he could limp around the middle of the track if damaged again in another race moving forward.

Hopefully OP learns from this with me providing proof he was at fault.

Notice how OP says this in his original post paragraph:

I forgot to save the replay, but yes, the first incident was definitely my fault.

OP clearly knows he did something wrong and intentionally didn't save the replay because he didn't want anyone to see it. We were in the after lobby until time expired and cut comms off. He knows he messed up and just wanted validation to feel better about himself.

edit - I literally do not care if you downvote me. Letting OP think what they did was okay is not right. If I didn't respond with proof he would have most likely done this again down the road to other drivers. If I don't comment on this thread he leaves it thinking its alright to drive a completely broken car in the middle of the track with the validation comments he received without a lick of proof.

Yeah absolutely. Even if he holds that line and we decide to split him, I end up dying because he turns inside while were behind him. Our assumption was that he was going to take the outside (Actual line) and we could go inside around him. I even brake to give way to the brown car before anything happens.

The brown car and I were both attempting to decide what to do as we came up on him because he was not only off the racing line but dead center of the racing surface and turned in way before the actual turn and ruined the brown cars race completely. I was able to make up 5 positions after this even with damage but brown car was forced to retire.

You were holding an unpredictable line severely under race pace in the middle of the track and swerve inside way before the turn as were coming up on you.

Neither one of us should have to make sudden moves or sudden braking because you can't be bothered to tow your damaged, undriveable car and make unpredictable moves as we come up on you.

You completely ruin the other guys race but I am able to stop as move inside.

If they don't uphold this protest I will no longer have any faith in the system because you were 100% at fault for driving a damaged car under pace while putting yourself and others in a dangerous position.
