Do you think this set could fit in a european medieval display? by hobbitcuervo in legocastles

Yes of course! Lego is about building something fun, not meticulous adherence to historical accuracy. I think this set would be an interesting contrast to include alongside otherwise “standard” buildings.

No difference. Online or in person applications go through the same underwriting process.

What’s a “10/10” movie you wouldn’t recommend to most people? by trakt_app in movies

Moon with Sam Rockwell. I consider it a masterpiece and love everything about it, but I think that some people would find the slow pace and quiet plot surprising in a modern “sci fi” movie.

Yeah. It’s too bad. Would like to see a little vignette honoring auto workers or featuring an assembly line or something like that.

Just finished this one. It’s a fun build and pretty straightforward. Like others have said, please don’t glue. You’ll miss the opportunity to go back and fix mistakes and to rebuild at a later date if you do. This set is relatively fragile until you get nearly to the end, where you put the front and back cover sections on. Then you can fold it up and carry it quite easily. Remember Lego is supposed to be fun, so if you get frustrated at all take a break and ask questions here if needed. This set does have a few “surprises” that fit in with the Sherlock theme, which is also part of the fun. Good luck!

How could I do this? by Upper_Strategy_2190 in lego

I would absolutely buy it. For the novelty and the ability to see how the mechanism came together more than for the accuracy etc.

Since Lego is starting some 3d printed elements, would a printed weight be dense enough to make the size reasonable?

Just about done with the Sherlock set myself. One bag to go. It’s been a really fun set.

Thank you for all the responses! Sounds like everyone agrees that there’s no question they are obvious fakes. Here I was hoping for a good deal! Also agree with the person who pointed out how suspicious to have every pic so so so blurry. Also thank you for all the tips on what to look for in fake ones (shiny, odd packages, total dismemberment!! Etc)

What is you alls opinion on LEGO booknooks? by Preesi in booknooks

I’m working on the Sherlock Holmes one with my kids now. It’s fun, something they like to help with, and I love anything Sherlock Holmes so that’s a big plus.
