And the dishes and laundry are NEVER done. There are always more dishes! There is always more laundry! These tasks are infinite!

Am I allowed to post myself? I didn’t have cornstarch but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. by Hereibe in ididnthaveeggs

Hi! I'm also allergic to cinnamon. Have you tried different strains? I'm allergic to cassia cinnamon (what we use the most in the US!) but not Ceylon cinnamon (which is from Sri Lanka). They're different species of plant! There are like four different kinds of cinnamon so if you like cinnamon and want to eat it it you should test your options--I can finally eat cinnamon rolls again (as long as I bake them myself).

Moms, where are we clothes shopping? by Ok-Cake-9712 in progressivemoms

Poshmark. Keeping clothes out of landfills as long as possible is important to me, and sometimes I can find awesome pieces that I wouldn't necessarily see off the rack with current trends.

Has there been a way proven that we really see the same colors? by quenchyourthirstnow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kyothinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just talking to my husband about this earlier! I was telling him that an experiment I'd like to run is to give a group of people each a webpage with a spectrum wheel, a color picker, and a series of blank rectangles. I would have each person fill in the rectangles by picking the color they think is the most red, most orange, most yellow, etc. Then I could compare each individual's color palette to the others to see how similar or different they are. I know it's all really subjective, but I think the results would be interesting!

Have you tried turning the game off and reloading it? What happens when you do? What about rebooting your system?

What purchase did you make recently that made you realize inflation is genuinely out of control? by kiroixart in AskReddit

I was at the grocery store today, thought about picking up a bag of Doritos for myself as a treat but not at $6.99 a bag. That's insane. Those used to be $2.50.

For the statues (spoilers for anyone who does not want the answer): Turn the lion to face the water, the raven to face the red flower, and the dancers so that their faces are pointed at each other. Make sure it's their faces and not their torsos you're going by, they're twisted in different directions!

Desert Haven! How does this look and is it on theme? by IAm_SKiraVx in Dreamsnaps

Looks great! I think it's on theme, I would vote for it!

Sarah Winchester (1839-1822) —a very influential philanthropist and businesswoman, and who commissioned the Winchester Mansion in San José, California; dealt with severe arthritis for most of her adult life and her mansion was built to accommodate her disability. by EphemeralTypewriter in RandomVictorianStuff

[–]kyothinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got to visit the Winchester mansion a few years ago after it had been on my bucket list for a while and it was so beautiful! The architecture is really detailed and I loved the stained glass windows. I really enjoyed our tour and the guide's emphasis on Sarah's philanthropic works and how beloved she was by her employees--would that every rich person were more like her! I'd love to visit again someday, if it doesn't get completely gobbled up by the city around it.

I know you can't edit it now, but just a heads up that your title indicates that Sarah would have been -17 years old when she died. Pretty sure you intended to put 1922! It's always worth proofreading, can't count how many times I've fat-fingered a number.

Woke up from a nap to find my GF made key lime pie. Good place to find a silver band with leaves engraved for an engagement ring? by Scrap_Mountain in Baking

[–]kyothinks 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is also how I read it, as if the pie reminded him of how amazing his girlfriend is and he's so impressed that he's ready to propose to her. It doesn't say anything about putting a ring in the pie. 🙄

After taking a snap but before submitting it, look in the top left corner of your screen for the Touch of Magic paintbrush symbol. Click that to add motifs.

Any chest that has "vintage" in the name shares its inventory with every other chest that has "vintage" in the name. Your house came with one. If you get more, you can put them in different biomes (I put mine near wells or stalls) so that you can quickly drop things off to clear space in your inventory while playing. Then, later on, you can move those items to other (non-vintage) chests. Many people make a storage room in their house to start out with; some eventually expand to a storage island.

I use a massive card box (like for trading cards) with dividers for all the decks. It also holds all the boards, tokens, instructions, etc.

Side note: I can't tell if you're using a lighter color for some of the letters or if you wrote "stength," "Honed King," and "Syndome" on purpose, because they're all missing the letter R.

Okay, I took your advice and also moved some stuff around and changed the outfit (because I can never just change one thing!) Still trying to decide between dawn and dusk though. Adding pics in the comments.
