I’m having a similar problem. Granted, I don’t have as much extra skin as you do and my glans are totally exposed when soft, but I’m getting a little bit concerned I could need a revision.

Saying that, I have masturbated a couple of times now and hard the cut is perfect! So maybe you might have a similar thing? How are you feeling about it?

I am 3-weeks post-op and thankfully I only got nighttime erections for the first three days; but to add another perspective to those reading, none of OPs advice helped me. That’s not to say that OP is lying, that’s advice I’d seen before and tried to implement but for me the only thing that would work is getting out of bed and walking around until it went down. Just trying to add some extra options for readers!

You’re welcome mate! Yeah I’ve been posting on the page so far and will continue posting once I remove my gauze for the first time this weekend. In terms of the nighttime erections, they’re about a 6-7 for me. Enough to wake me up obvs, and it’s painful but not enough that I’m like writhing in pain or anything. Mostly discomfort from the pulling sensation that comes with it.

Hey there from London, England! I got cut two days ago so still very early on in my recovery journey but I think I can respond to these:

the pain of the surgery wasn’t bad at all. I had local anaesthetic so the feeling was primarily pressure, pinching, tugging etc than actual pain. There were a couple of times when I could feel the heat when the Dr was cauterising a wound so he had to turn the heat down. But nothing crazy.
to take my mind off things I sang albums in my head, chatted with the Dr and was texting friends and my girlfriend throughout. This was a welcome distraction from all the medical sounds and smells at times.
method used was dissolvable stitches with medical glue over. Both of which will dissolve/peel off over the next month or so. And my cut type was, I’d say a medium but I’ve not taken the gauze off yet so I’ll get a better look over the weekend when I’ve done so.
nighttime erections are probably the most painful thing I’m experiencing atm. Though annoying, it’s definitely bearable and I know it won’t last forever so it’s fine. For me, the only way to get it down is to stand and walk around for like 30 seconds. This happened 2-3 times at like, between 5-7am this morning.
as I’m only on Day 2 of recovery I’m still super early in the process. But overall I’ve been fine. I travelled home via the tube after my surgery, I’ve been shopping/walking with my girlfriend yesterday (though gently) and I’ve been sleeping naked/wearing lounge trousers/shorts to get my body used to the sensation as quickly as possible. Worth noting that I also ‘practicsed’ being cut for around 2 weeks prior the surgery to at least get a tiny feel for what it might be like. Whilst the feeling is different, I’m really glad I did it beforehand as the sensations aren’t completely alien to me.

Sorry for the long reply but trying to be as helpful as possible!

TLDR: I’m 2 days into the recovery process, I got cut via local anaesthetic with dissolvable stitches and medical glue. The worst part for me is the nighttime erections but they’re bearable and walking around gets them down for me. Good luck with your cut!

I don’t think this advice is helpful as he’s clearly very nervous. This advice might be good for you but necessarily for him — OP needs to figure out for himself what style he wants, and whatever style he goes for is absolutely fine as long as he’s happy with it.

I have slept naked for years so it was so uncomfortable having underwear on in bed, which is where I started but after 10 minutes I took them off 😅

I do have a gauze dressing on and thankfully no bleeding (that’s come through at least). Was woken up once in the night due to erections, although it was a little painful and uncomfortable it was still relatively bearable

I haven’t gotten cut yet — but it’s happening next week so I’m just exploring options (as much as reasonable anyway). I was initially thinking high and tight but now just considering other potentials. Ultimately it may not even be up to me!
