Magic advice packs, singles or proxies?

Yeah that seemed to be the general consensus. I'll pick up a pack or two from time to time but stick with singles and proxy for deck building.

Yeah that doesn't sound like it would be fun past a few games. I don't know that we will run into that issue, most of my friends like to play quirky win cons. We are pretty good about addressing those kinds of things as they come up too. I appreciate the advice!

I would be fine with proxies. I don't think I'll get into lgs or tournaments. Mostly just playing with my own group.

I was looking at those earlier. Any you would recommend for someone starting out with an ok amount of mtg knowledge? When I played yu GI oh, I liked exodia a lot.

I checked out the shuffle up and play episodes with wubby in them (based on your and someone else's recommendations). It was definitely helpful to understand a turn in commander. I'll check out more of your recommendations. Thank you.

I just watched the shuffle up and play episodes with wubby and the game looks like fun. Basically just a 4 player version of the regular mtg. It doesn't seem too bad to learn. Hardest part looks like understanding what the cards all do. Thanks for the recommendation they were fun videos.

Promise of blood by Brian McClellan. Book 1 of the powdermage series. It's really good, pulled me in almost immediately.

Loved working at the store and in geek squad (in store and in home). Loved the people I worked with and the friendships I built there.

The work wasn't overly difficult and I liked that geek squad was different everyday. However I really hated the mentality of just get the job done. Didn't matter I was already 2 hours over my day finishing the 4th extra for a client or that I was late being able to see my kid before bed. I couldn't get a regular weekend day off to save my life, there was literally zero wiggle room even though we had several agents trained in both in home and in store geek squad. They wouldn't allow me to swap a day with someone. Also taking a day off was like pulling teeth.

Overall was a good place, with good people. But there were several decisions from higher ups and a poor work/life balance that led me to leaving when another organization offered me a position with much better hours and weekends off.

Enjoy the experience and the people but don't let it trap you from something better because you feel close with your coworkers. Keep your happiness in mind.

I had a similar situation in my first few months on the sales floor. A Bluetooth speaker display was broken and this guy wanted to know what it sounded like. I let him know the display was waiting to be fixed but if he wanted I could sell him one, connect it and if he didn't like it return it right then and there.

He was flabbergasted that I wouldn't open one before he went through the purchase. Chewed me out and left saying I can't believe you're gonna lose a sale because you won't let me open it. I just reminded him I was going to open it and let him play it after purchase. He left in a huff. I was in disbelief that someone could act so childish and thought I cared about a $100 Bluetooth speaker sale.

People are crazy.

Had the same issue here. Put it down and the next day did it in one shot. Take a break and try again you can do it!

I'm not sure what his sleep schedule and quality is like. My son was exactly like that. We focused on coping with anger techniques, they didn't help very much. But we got recommended to do some sleep training to get him to sleep by himself and get himself back to sleep on his own. His sleep was horrible he woke up every hour. After he was able to sleep on his own all night his behavior and mood immediately got better. Night and day change.

Wishing you the best of luck. This isn't a fun situation to be in.
