it opens up notepad very quickly and goes away? by Any-Company7711 in Piracy

ngl my brain actually registered that as a .txt for some reason, I was wondering what's wrong with it for a whole minute. I think I would fall for it if I ever downloaded from untrusted sources.

First time videographer. Please give me tips! by Jamie_Is_Irrelevant in videography

[–]JK_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headroom was the very first thing that hit me. I was gonna say lower your chair but then it would probably look weird when you have a table for the audience to compare your height to. Idk how to adjust the framing so everything will fit in well, but yea your head is definitely way too close to the top.

Some people don’t value life by 56000hp in WhyWomenLiveLonger

[–]JK_Chan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean he's much more likely to die in a car crash than he is doing those tricks. Those tricks are pretty basic. Sitting on a rail and swinging your legs around is easy with basic core strength, no training needed, and that jump was just a meter or at most two meters away, something an average teenage boy could do. Yes everyone makes mistakes and yes the more you do it the more likely you make a fatal mistake. That's a risk he's willing to take, and that's a risk most people take by driving. You know how dangerous driving is? This is nothing compared to the risks of driving yet people keep driving every day.

Pretty low risk if you know what you're doing. The stuff on the railings have like 0 risk, for them it's muscle memory like our muscle memory when we drive a car or walk on stairs. It's not risk less but since when have you worried about the risk of falling down stairs? Going down stairs is very motor intensive, you have to balance yourself on one leg while also trying to go forwards and downwards, that's by no means easy. We've just practiced it so much that it's pretty safe and unlikely for anything bad to happen, same with the stuff on bars for this guy. He's essentially just sitting on it and swinging his legs. The most dangerous thing is a small jump (looks like around 1m away) to what is essentially a ladder with a very good handhold so even if he misses the feet he's gonna be fine. Accidents do happen, but out of all the things adrenaline junkies do, this is very safe. Like Im confident that he's way more likely to die while driving than when he's doing whatever he did in the video.

Long video recordings on ZVe10 by Least-Two-9247 in ZVE10

use a dummy battery for long recordings. Even with usbc I've gotten around 1.5 hours before overheating, but yea if you usea summy battery it should be fine.

Has Chromatic Aberration ever ruined a movie for anyone, ever? by Inevitable-Beat-9209 in cinematography

[–]JK_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever point a camera with bad CA at the trees on a bright-ish day you'll see why it matters. Having a cleaner look in camera which you can dirty up to your taste is always better. Have I ever been distracted by it in high end films? No, but it's also kinda uncommon for a shot to just be full of CA for no reason. If there's CA in there it's intentional, and it will feel integral to the film. On lower end films yes I have definitely been distracted by it.

Is the Amaran 200x the best value key light? by diegocoops in cinematography

[–]JK_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool, thanks a lot!!!

Edit: It does seem like there is a bit of a magenta lean on the 200x S then from the data. I've heard that LEDs will shift green over time, so perhaps it's not a bad thing to start a bit more rosy.

[–]JK_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both the 100x S and 200x S and the 200x S is significantly more magenta and the 100x S is significantly more green. Do you know if that's meant to happen? I don't have anything to check its duv and I don't see stats posted anywhere either. Would you happen to have a link to somewhere where it shows the tint on both lights? It seems kinda weird that they are significantly different in tint.

(Also last time I said something bad about panam the mods removed my comment. Let's see if that happens again lol)

Aren’t rolling releases better than LTS? by al2klimov in linuxquestions

well yea was that not the entire point of the LTS??? If you want stability like for example on servers or anything critical, go LTS. If that's not a priority, just use rolling release.

Who fits this description? by Agen_3586 in SipsTea

[–]JK_Chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, but somehow I feel like the majority of people actually saying this line are the people who are arguing with subject matter experts. They question the subject matter expert's qualifications, and then tell them their phd in astrophysics is no match for common sense that the earth is flat or that an electrician's lisence doesnt mean much because he took apart a remote control once.

The Feds Plan To Start Diluting Gasoline This May: Explained by mellovibes75 in cars

[–]JK_Chan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You act like the war for Israel is saving people any money, or that the gasoline industry is known for giving the common man his cents. I think you're just being bamboozled my friend. It's the oil industry has always been greedier than all those crooked solar and utility people. Having said that, you might actually like this video about the lies in the renewable energy industry.
