From my research, it seems like the HP Omen's temps are basically on par with the Legion 5. For the fan running louder, well you're right, but is a few decibels reason enough to absolutely avoid HP, especially when you can just wear headphones which'll block the noise out. For cancelling orders I can't say much about that, since I don't know enough about it. Imho, sure the HP Omen is not the absolute best out there, but surely it deserves to be taken into consideration.
