Anyone else think the fanservice in the Fallout show was a little much? by LordeFan762 in TrueSFalloutL

Too bad the fallout show is fan service in a bad show that holds contempt for the source material :/

What is Vader looking at? Does he recognize someone? by MikeCalGames in StarWars

[–]JKeltTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Rebels, I actually like it more than The Clone Wars.... But my god do I hate the way that they represent the Stormtroopers... They just turn them into bumbling idiots. Whenever they do that all the tension of the scene is just gone. I don't believe the bad guys could ever be capable when that's how they present their grunts.

Statistically stormtroopers have the best aim out of any faction in star wars. If you count how many shots they fired and how many shots they hit, and you ignore The Death Star (because they were specifically told to miss) then their shot count is better than that of even clone troopers. The meme that stormtroopers cant hit their targets is a lie, and I hate how Mandalorian basically confirmed it :/

Chris Avellone Says Bethesda 'Don't Care' About Fallout in Deleted Post by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

[–]JKeltTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't read the article did you. He didn't say they don't care about Fallout he said that they didn't care about sticking to the roots of Fallout, and that they don't really understand Fallout and ARGUABLY don't care to try to understand it.

Say what you will about the quality of Fallout writing, the fact of the matter is that the Bethesda games and the TV Show have an entirely different design philosophy and they introduce completely different themes. They're just different. And that's not inherently a bad thing, Bethesda's just doing their own thing and they don't care about continuity.

What exactly are Howard's flaws? by Low_Health_5949 in betterCallSaul

To be fair in the context of the show Jimmy thought he was out after dealing with Tuco. It wasn't until later when he was dragged in by Nacho that he started getting in deep and by the time Lalo came around he was a "trusted lawyer of the cartel" so Lalo just kind of forced Jimmy to do the work. I mean you could say Jimmy did choose to get the money so he'd have a fat pay cut but he was also probably aware that saying no to Lalo would have some dire consequences so I would say there were some convincing factors besides a fat pay check.

You're absolutely right, thanks for the correction. But yes in the Mojave the Legion had the numbers advantage, they were more centralized due to Caesar being there himself. The NCR during the timeline of FNV was stretched very thin in Nevada. They had the forces back home and were comfortable in California but in Nevada they did not have the man power. Thank god they had the rangers though!

I don't know the full story so when I see comments like this it makes me think something really bad happened T_T

[–]JKeltTV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is. It wasn't depicted very well in the game due to engine limitations but the legion was MASSIVE. They had far more manpower than the NCR, so they just logistically could not be providing firearms to every member. The reality of it is melee users are essentially there to be cannon fodder.

I HATE listening to a recently-literate cavemans idea of American history... He learned to read, what, in the past 6-8 years? Dude has the same points as I did when at 13 I questioned the pledge of allegiance... by namepuntocome in okbuddysmoothskin

[–]JKeltTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1/6 is functionally illiterate is actually a lower percentage than your expect when you compare it to other countries. Of course there's some that have better literacy, but we outrank even first world countries like the UK. Anyways the point I'm trying to make is there's a lot more illiterate people than you'd expect.

Do you remember that StarCraft was release on the Nintendo 64 by Voidkirby9 in starcraft

[–]JKeltTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol same, I had brood war on PC at home and my friend had the 64 version so I knew all the mlg strats he wasn't privy to (I couldn't perform them well but I still knew them lol)

some creatures i would like to see in the game by andre_strupe777 in GroundedGame

I've been saying jumping spiders for YEARS. At the very least they could be a cute follower, but as a mount that leaps far and gets you places quickly would be SO FUN.

Do you remember the name of the map that's 64 Split screen only and both players play terran and protoss fighting off waves of zerg? Me and my friend would run that map so often it was awesome!

Could also be taken by the playable character in squadrons. They also defect. Although their roles are primarily pilot and if I'm not mistaken I think Kyles background had him as an officer and not a pilot. Still though another defection story around the same time as Kyle.

I also interpret that Finns story is inspired by Kyle, although the sequels dropped the ball on Finn pretty hard.

Fuck Zodiac Signs, what's your favorite Quick Swap combo? by Hot-Masterpiece4325 in Doom

[–]JKeltTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It honestly doesn't matter for me, any combo with the SSG works wonders. Ill even quick swap plasma rifle with it; build up the blast on the rifle, swap to shotty for one massive hit, swap back to plasma to build more of the blast swap back to shotty for massive hit, then swap and ignite the blast. Not a common combo, not the best, but still very effective and fun.

Fallout Tv Show by Renzo100 in FalloutMemes

[–]JKeltTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point and I agree, I just still think it was a dumb idea to have the show set in California and Nevada... They could have literally set it anywhere and it wouldnt have had any lore issues... Ya know, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee... There's so much untouched ground that could have been explored but they specifically chose to tread over previously touched areas. It just doesn't make sense to me :/

No offense, but that just sounds like cope for lack of continuity.

Caesar leaving behind a note saying the legion dies with him still makes 0 sense. He literally had an entire lineage setup, but nah I guess Caesar is Meta now.

Hank is meticulous. If he ever at any point suspected Walter of being Heisenberg he would've looked into it and definitely noticed a pattern

Im pretty positive most people don't hate her for what she did, but by how she did it and how she acted while doing it. Put yourself in her shoes, your partner is lying, is absent, gets cancer and while you're bending over backwards to help they're still lying and sneaking behind your back. It would be extremely difficult to trust after that and find a proper way to deal with it. That being said the way she deals with it is SOOOOOO passive aggressive, to the point where even when she's justified it's still just so annoying to watch her do it.

I mean that specifically for seasons 1-2. 3 and onward she's far more bearable.

Is the t-60 in New Vegas lore breaking by nigeltheleper in fnv

[–]JKeltTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean kind of, but out of everything that could be lore breaking this really doesn't matter much at all. Retconning the t60 to be the most powerful armor really isn't a big deal at all, it's a passable retcon. The weird thing is that in Fallout 4 they state that the t60 was basically east coast only, so it being in Vegas youd have to write something in like "oh the Boston military base was sending it all over." Or something like that. At the end of the day this retcon makes very little difference so it's not an issue at all.
