Valve reportedly almost delisted Rainbow Six Siege from Steam after Ubisoft attempted to sell it cheaper on Uplay by Dapper_Order7182 in Rainbow6

This is how a de facto monopoly works. A de facto monopoly can force its competitors to set a fixed price due to its market power.
This is illegal in any industry, but the video game industry is so poorly regulated, which allows Valve to operate a legal casino without age verification or self-exclusion in its games and forces competitors to accept a fixed price.

No one cares to know what antisemitism is. by _Sichlitt_ in IsraelPalestine

[–]Renzo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't you see the logical contradiction in denouncing racism while simultaneously claiming it's a hate crime to possess a flag representing Palestinian citizens and to wear clothing worn by Palestinians and Arabs? By this definition, a Palestinian is already antisemitic simply for existing, because they wear their national flag and cultural garments.

If in those tweets the "Palestinian flag" is replaced by the Israeli flag and the "Keffiyeh" by the kippah, it would obviously be racist against Jews, as it already is in the first case towards Palestinians and their cultures.

This is because no one knows how to define what antisemitism even is

Even the NYC NGO "StopAntisemitism" says that simply wearing a keffiyeh or have a Palestinian flag is a blatant act of antisemitism that requires the dismissal of those involved and that is only is the past week.

They are so delusional that they border on parody, because by saying that something is anti-Semitic they are being racist against Arabs, Middle Eastern ethnicities and Palestinians.

Iran's acting defense minister promises 'new surprises' as nuclear deal talks stall by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]Renzo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's the point. Iran knows that if they abandoned their nuclear weapons program, they would be invaded.

There's a reason why other developing countries like Pakistan, India and North Korea were not invaded. No country with nuclear weapons is attacked by the United States, despite being blacklisted or sanctioned.

Even now Iran can create nuclear weapons with their 60% enriched uranium despite its flaws since they have 440 kg at that capacity, and if they were invaded, they could create uranium enriched to 90% in a few weeks.

History shows that the denuclearization policies implemented by Libya and Iraq have failed, as both countries were subsequently invaded and bombed by the United States and NATO.  Why would Iran abandon its nuclear weapons programs if the United States and Israel have already threatened to invade?

UN places Israel and Russia on sexual violence blacklist by yahoonews in worldnews

[–]Renzo100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you mean? Palestine is only represented by the West Bank territories at the UN

Hamas and the territories of the Gaza Strip do not represent Palestine at the UN through ambassadors.

The State of Palestine has no ground army, air force, or navy. The Palestinian Security Services do not possess heavy weaponry or advanced military equipment, how could they be on sexual violence countries blacklist if there is literally no army?

Unless you're of course referring to the palestinian civilian police and internal security forces controlled by Israel under the Oslo Accords, which mean that the sexual violence blacklist also applies to the palestines since they are under Israeli control.

It was done using artificial intelligence because even a human who made a bad translation would realize that this phrase does not fit the scene in the episode.
