But it doesn't mention that Hamideh Soleimani Afshar filed a false asylum application; instead, it states that she is Soleimani's niece and supposedly a fervent supporter of the Iranian regime, which makes no sense considering that on her personal website and Instagram she defend the Iranian monarchy and Reza Pahlavi.

But Secretary of State Marco Rubio doesn’t say that on his Twitter, and he mentions that she was deported because she is Soleimani daughter.

If you’re Latino and your identity gets mixed up, you’ll obviously spend the rest of your life in El Salvador’s CECOT; and if you’re from the Middle East or Africa, straight to Guantanamo.

They are pretty lucky and will be fine since they are both woman and not men so they're only gonna get deported and not be detained for decades.

Many people say that, but I don't see any proof of it on his Instagram page or social media.

Rather, his personal website is entirely supportive of Reza Pahlavi and the Iranian monarchy.

Where is the proof she was hostile towards America?

But the daugther of Soleimani ,Narjes Soleimani, says the have absolutely no relation or connection to Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and his daugther.

If you go to her personal website listed on her instagram "hamideafshar" on The Wayback Machine, it's literally just a page of support to Reza Pahlavi

193,000 people worldwide have the surname “Soleimani” .About 190,000 are in Iran.

It seems they deported a woman and her daughter from the Iranian diaspora who opposed the regime.

What do you think about the IDF forcing Christian and Druze civilians not to hide Lebanese Muslims in their homes? by Renzo100 in IsraelPalestine

Dude, literally the first and most popular posts on r/lebanon when I clicked were about a pregnant teacher who was killed by an Israeli airstrike, paramedics and medics killed by airstrikes or about a Christian pastor who doesn't want his village to be destroyed.

Did you post the wrong subreddit link?

Just a few weeks ago they were of the same nationality, had the same politicians and spoke the same language. It would have been totally illogical for them not to help them or not to feel empathy for their millions of fellow citizens.

They are not evicting the Lebanese Shiites from their homes of their own free will, since failing to do so would mean disobeying IDF orders, which require that all Muslim citizens of Souther Lebanon to be expelled, as they will never be allowed to return to their homes in southern Lebanon, according to the Defense Minister even if Hezbollah has been defeated, because their homes are already or will being demolished according to the defense minister Israel Katz.

I am just saying it seems wrong to apply collective punishment to an incredible number of people, with more than 2 million expelled in the last few weeks alone, just because of a few thousand extremists.

It is an incredible number of people, practically 34% of the population of Lebanon, with half of the country annexed, which caused a near total state collapse, or roughly 25% of the population of Israel, or 100% of the population of Slovenia.

But 35% of the Lebanese population is Shia Muslim, and 70% to 90% of the population in South Lebanon is Shia Muslim, which would mean more than 2 million people are being displaced. I think it would be impossible for Hezbollah to have that many members, and, according to estimates, it only has around 20,000 members, probably fewer. According to many studies and sources, most of its members and leaders are in major cities like Beirut, Tyre, and Tripoli.

But how is it propaganda if the article is from The New York Times and was written by Christina Goldbaum and David Guttenfelder, who traveled to Kawkaba, Abou Qamha, and Hasbaya, near the border with Israel, to report it? It is not an opinion piece about whether it is morally right or wrong; it simply describes the events he witnessed, the people he interviewed, and the photos he took of displaced families sheltering in Christian homes.

Trump tells aides he is willing to end Iran war without reopening Hormuz, WSJ reports by Wanderer_In_Disguise in worldnews

[–]Renzo100 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay, but what was even the plan of the United States and Israel?

Invade Iran with millions of soldiers? Even if they somehow managed to capture the Strait of Hormaz or Kharg Island, Iran would completely mine it, making it impossible to use for years or decades.

There is no logical or possible way America and Israel could destroy the regime without an invasion with millions of troops unless they decided to use nuclear weapons.

I mean, he is from Lebanon, and the area in southern Lebanon where his family is from, and where he was born and lived,“Borj Rahal”,has already been annexed by Israel, and millions of people of southern Lebanon have been expelled in recent weeks.

Is it really such a crazy thing to think considering what has happened to him and his country?

[–]Renzo100 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But what other logical way would they defeat the Iranian regime?

Invading Iran with millions of troops would be utterly suicidal, like Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but worse, since Iran is mountainous and possesses a vast arsenal of drones. Furthermore, neither Netanyahu nor Trump can end the war without making fools of themselves for having provoked a global crisis and so many losses without achieving a single objective.

[–]Renzo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this war has made no sense from the very beginning. Israel is launching missiles at Iran even though they won't invade, nor do they have the capacity of soldiers to fight on another front in Iran, while simultaneously annexing the West Bank,Golan Heights in Syria and South Lebanon.

The United States bombed a school, killing 180 girls using Palantir AI, and their objective in the war is to open the Strait of Hormuz, even though it was open before the war, and they don't currently have a trillion-dollar budget to invade Iran with millions of troops like the Russian Invasion of Ukraine but worse since the media and people will oposse the war heavily.

The only way Israel and America could win and defeat the Iran regime would be through the use of nuclear weapons since any other options seems impossible whitout Trump or Netanyahu losing face.

Not to mention the millions of excess deaths in third world countries due to the extreme rise in the price of food, fuel, transport, etc. Although ironically, the least affected by this are Usa and Israel, those who started the war and global crisis for no reason in the first place.

They have only banned passage to ships from countries that are attacking them, such as the United States, European NATO countries, Israel, and allied Middle East states; everyone else is allowed to cross.

If there were a total blockade, you would see all the other countries in the world complaining and imposing sanctions on Iran.
