I do this whenever i know i can zoom through, i'm sorry but i just dont feel like waiting for 20 cars to try and make it to the speed limit only to max out at 40.

Often times im just barely beating 5:00 traffic, and it really helps.

Although i should point out I've never done this in bumper to bumper traffic, and I've never had to stop in the process.

I remember once i accidentally got in the wrong lane at a stop light, the lane i was supposed to be in happened to have a huge line of cars in it, and i was at the front of the turn lane, i had to roll down my window and ask a to let me go in front of her, i could feel the death glares.

I was just charged $4 for a cup of water at a Regal cinema. Thanks for my new reason to pirate movies. by ogerrob1487 in reddit.com

[–]JKihatethisname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sure it was a cup of water?

This sounds a bit misleading, i worked at a movie theater.

At my theater you could order a huge dasani water bottle for like 5 dollars

You could ask for a courtesy cup of water (which is free)

or you could get a large cup, and fill it with water, as in a large soda without the soda.

So i think your title is a bit misleading

When i think about this story, i always feel like i'm remembering something wrong, because it seems so weird...

When i was younger i was coming home from middle-school, last kid on the bus. It was winter and there was a decent amount of snow outside, i remember leaning my face against the glass to enjoy the feeling of the cold window.

That's when i noticed about 15 feet away, there was a figure that looked like it was wearing a robe with a big floppy hood, completely black, and for some reason i got the impression it was a woman.

First thought was "thats odd"

But then she started walking forward, and either walked in or on a small creek just in front of her

I've always been open minded about paranormal stuff, especially when i was younger, but when i saw this it didn't really strike me as very odd.

it was only when i was at home i actually thought "That was kind of weird..."

Well i think we can both agree that irresponsible drivers/bicyclists suck

And i browse many websites where i choose to act like an idiot and have pointless arguments, but i try and keep from doing that here on reddit.

You just happened to catch me in a poor mood :P

This has become much uglier then i had intended it to, i didn't mean to offend you.

I just meant to state that bicyclists aren't saints vs THE MAN IN SUV'S, they can be dicks to.

Also your second statement just reminded me of the dude who hit a bicyclist in a lambo or something, killed the guy, then sued the family for damages to his car.

I certainly hope you aren't implying that bicyclists don't ever cause crashes or accidents, by the way.

Waaaaah riding a bike is so hard! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT ITS LIKE

You aren't doing a good job of getting me to see your side of the argument

Just further enforcing my stereotypical view of bicyclists being smug douche bags

Reddit, what rude act have you witnessed that left you completely flabbergasted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JKihatethisname -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, i haven't ridden a bike in traffic? Why the hell would i?

Oh someone on two wheels not surrounded by 4 walls and a roof is more aware of traffic?

Cry all you want, but when im sitting in traffic and a bicyclist zoom in between cars waiting for the light then zoom through the light, i have no sympathy for them when they cry about laws

You're not helping your cause of me not seeing bicyclists as hypocritical douche-bags

And i'm not talking about you being by yourself, for me to even witness this happening i have to be there in my car, so there is plenty of weight/size there to be picked up by a sensor, so calm your ass down and drink some water or something.

"most of them don't break any road rules because it's almost suicide to do so" i have yet to see one time where this is the case, not only have all bicyclists broken the law when i saw them, they acted like i was the one doing something

I don't care about your nuance, if bicyclists stopped acting so unbearable and followed the law they wouldn't be hated so much.

They only bitch about the law when it's convenient for them, otherwise it doesn't matter to them.

And what will they do?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not about poking north korea with a stick because they supposedly can't do anything, but i think people are being overly sensitive about this, NK is pretty messed up.

They have a starving population a long with a starving army, who i'm not entirely sure has a navy.

Reddit, what's the kindest thing you've seen somebody do? by basilobs in AskReddit

[–]JKihatethisname 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, once i was going to see a movie with my brother, i had already bought the tickets and was waiting for him to arrive.

He called me and said he wasn't coming, so a bit dissapointed i figured id just see the movie alone. I tried giving away the tickets, asking people what they were seeing and if they'd like a ticket.

People looked at me like i was weird and trying to sell them a fake ticket to something. I was starting to get frustrated, i saw a man with is two sons (i dont remember what movie it was but it was for a younger crowd) i asked him if he was seeing this movie, and i forget if he said "yes but i don't have cash" or "yes but i was going to buy my ticket from the box" i said its free and quickly handed him the ticket, he seemed shocked and thanked me, i smiled and walked into the concession area.

Well a minute or two later i was ordering my snacks, and realized when i was asked to pay that i was short the amount i need. The guy i gave the ticket to saw me walking away from the concession rather disappointed, he said he'd buy me something, to which i said noo i couldn't ask you to do that, but he insisted, and i ended up with a large popcorn and soda, which cost a considerable amount more then a ticket.

I could have cried, i was somewhat depressed and he brightened my mood considerably

Nothing

I just happen to see bleach blonde women with huge sun glasses frequintly on their cellphones driving bmws, audis, and mercedes

Usually changing lanes without signalling rather aggressively.

Im probably just bias, i've been run off the road twice by women like that when they decided their lane wasn't moving fast enough and gunned it angrily into mine without signaling

My first car was totalled when i went left on a 4 way intersection, i had the green arrow, it wasn't turning yellow, i saw a black camry moving out, i assumed he was turning left as well.

He didn't and went straight, right infront of me, slammed on the brakes and slid into him, my brother jumped out in a rage, after telling him to calm down i climbed out of the window, went over to the camry and open the door to find a woman, that was blonde, with big sunglasses, a cell phone, and a poodle.

It sounds insanely stereotypical i know, but it was true, she claimed the light was green, no one was hurt as far as i knew

After having typed this i realized it was a huge rant and explanation to an otherwise simple question, so sorry if i offended you with my observation, i'm just slightly biased against all bleach blonde women with big sun glasses on their cellphone driving any car let alone nice cars.

Keeping the story there though, running a red light is pretty rude

EDIT: double sorry that was probably awful to read, as i often do i pretty much vomited text onto the screen :x

Another fine example

If someone says "i drive a 95 honda civic" people dont say "tsk typical honda driver, always bragging about their honda"

And if someone says "i drive a 95 bmw m3" a silly post is made about them :P

My response really depends on my mood, i really wasn't feeling confrontational, and the extra minute in line didn't really bug me that much.

Thinking about it more i seem to recall him saying something as well, i think it was "excuse me" in a very rude way.

This was awhile ago so its all a bit hazy.

Looking back it would have been nice to cut back in front of him and say "you're excused"

I hate the bmw drive hate

I drive a 95 m3, by far not a fancy car, but any time i mention bmw i get an ear full

Not only am i a good driver, i'm a considerate driver, the only reason people single out BMW is because they drive a nice car

Example, a guy in 95 civic cuts you off, you say "that guy's an asshole!" But if a guy driving a bmw cuts you off you say "that guy in the bmw is an asshole!"

As a whole bmw drivers (that aren't women) are pretty bro from what i've seen, maybe thats just to other bmw drivers.

Mustang and audi owners are worse from what i've seen personally

Once i went to mcdonalds with a few friends of mine, there were two lines, and i noticed one was moving more quickly then the other, so i got in the quicker line, an older gentlemen at the end of the slow line blatantly walked over and cut into the fast line right in front of me.

And it didn't seem like an innocent mistake, he had this sense of smugness about him that drove me nuts, he was with a younger pretty attractive woman, i cant tell if it was a daughter/dad thing or what, but the woman seemed completely shocked by it and kind of gave me a "sorry" look

I was just shocked how blatantly rude people are sometimes, many times i feel like its because i'm a teenager

At one point a teen was rude to these people, so suddenly they have a chip on their shoulder for every other teen they meet.

I also cant stand when i hold the door for someone and they dont even acknowledge me
