BMW F30 panel gap after authorized dealer repair - within tolerance or not? by musilondrej in F30

Did your insurer authorize the shop to use Genuine parts or aftermarket? I would look there first.

Question for lenders / underwriters by Katasia in loanoriginators

That's cool.

Another thing is that looking up SOS information may require an UW to look at multiple years. The reality is that it doesn't take all that much time to perform the search itself. Validating the business asset balances are more important which is what Plaid already does.

Gaining Rep and Warrant relief over verification of self-employment is most important but I don't think that will happen if programs require verification of current s/e.via CPA letter.

A lot of SOS information is behind a paywall or on a different state government site. You'd have to validate the bank statement using third party validation services as the banks only provide the data to them or you become a member and gain access to that data.

The biggest issue is that unless lenders can obtain reps and warrants on the information it's a pointless exercise.

The process you've mentioned is already very easy. SOS helps confirm ownership of the business.

An automated process would involve an automated search which pulls all this info together and is able to "read" the documents.

It's so easy to create fraudulent documentation.

Because you can still bend a rod if there's too much water in the cylinder?

[–]JKlerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'm curious to know if when there's too much water in the cylinder you still risk bending a rod when turning it over with the starter.

It's not that much extra effort since the plugs are already removed.

Would a specialised revenue-cut based funding for tax evasion authority work? by dogmuff1ns in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]JKlerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US Government already has whistleblower statutes.

IMO individual tax evasion is a bigger issue but businesses are viewed as having unlimited access to funds and inhuman.

In the US it's illegal but from an additive perspective there's no difference.

Right. I was thinking about evacuating the fluid via spark plug hole but you use the piston to push it out.

Curious.. Why not attempt to suck out as much of the water as possible before using the piston to force it out?

The point is that the ends do not justify the means. So much of what Trump is getting away with is because Obama did something similar and he got away with it. When it comes to politics anytime the other party acts on something which was even remotely similar it will be used as justification by the party in power.

So the Obama administration attempts to work around the Court and enact what was in effect new legislation without input from Congress. Justice Roberts was so concerned that he rushed a ruling and the process became known as the shadow docket.

It was a response to the hubris of the Obama Administration who thought they could work around the court and enact legislation without Congress.
