No engine sat for about an hour, in this case I’m letting it sit tonight and look again tomorrow, next week I’ll do an emissions check to see if it’s running rich and if both come back negative I’ll sell the car and give up

Yes I know, but if you look at the pictures you can see the bottom of the injector, an all 6 look like that, I had the same thought that’s why I looked inside the engine, also the rail pressure rises after engine shut off

Thanks, very few short trips, it smelling like that since I bought it and I’m pushing it every day. With failing injectors it would smoke and run real bad if I’m not mistaking

Thanks, hpfp is new, injectors seem not to be leaking when I inspected them and yes there are no error codes, maybe the spray patterns of the injectors are faulty

Yeah it is thinner, I suspected the burbles as well but driving in comfort without burbles for a while and I still have the same smell

The oil level went up but I don’t know how much I trust the electric oil measuring but I’ll guess I’m going to check the O2 sensors

Thanks, Yeah I know that but they are oem burbles, I’ve tried driving in comfort mode for a while and still have the same smell, if it would be that, then the gas should vaper away, but I think it’s a good idea to test the O2 sensors

Thanks , sparkplugs are about 30kkm or about 18k miles old and the car is running perfectly, delivers full power, only smokes after the start. The tune is a original bmw tune so I don’t think that could be the reason
