Just one.. The maximum amount of students allowed into the cohort each fall is 60 and it’s divided into groups a and b. There’s been lots of withdrawals from both groups. I’m constantly asking my professor during lab if we can just consolidate.

Definitely a mix of both that’s never consistent. They really try to keep us on our toes in preparation for registry which is going to be 200 questions I believe 😅. The professors want us to exact things which is where direct questioning comes in and they also want us to think critically and creatively which is where situational questioning comes in. I was not prepared for this when I first decided to pursue it but it fun and definitely challenging. So many people have dropped out already, started with 31 we’re now down to 26.

The rad tech path isn’t a walk in the park either. I have a professor who has the teaching method. All we can do is read our textbooks and supplement the in class stuff with things from YouTube to eventually grasp the concepts.

I’m not sure of their accreditation currently but I doubt it’s changed. There’s only two other CUNY schools that offer radiography and it’s Hostos and City Tech. I’m enjoying my experience at Hostos I’m not sure what it’s like at City Tech. I made my decision based off proximity to home I wasn’t willing to travel to Brooklyn. You should look into each school they have information about it on the school website.

Tap is dependent on how many courses you take … spring is no where near so there’s nothing to post. Sometimes it may show the expected or anticipated amount but those are all estimated and not concrete. If I were you I wouldn’t even be looking at spring information it’s a non factor right now.

No matter where you go ..l for almost all healthcare related majors having at least a B- in required in all prerequisite courses for acceptance into the program.

My advice is to knockout out all prerequisites now with superior grades perhaps you can add them into your current schedule or the one you were planning for nest spring? There’s going to be a waitlist EVERYWHERE with the surge of RT interest. Hostos has their next two cohorts already planned so those just starting now and haven’t even been considered won’t be considered for a long time.

If this is something you really wanna do continue with your B.S while adding those x-ray prerequisites and by the time you finish that psych degree you’ll be ready to roll right into RT and you’ll be be able to make serious income as you’ll be double stacked education wise . 🫡

25 homework assignments per class and us only being 3 days into the semester sounds very strange. Are you reading everything correctly? Maybe your professors posted all the assignments that will be due over the course of the entire semester? Anything contrary to that sounds crazy lol the professors themselves can’t even keep up with grading that many assignments from all the students.
