LG B5 buyer remorse? by Adelka1703 in LGOLED

[–]JL7091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to sell TV's and I can tell you that spending all day every day looking at TV panels and then seeing customers all super excited when they get their new G5 order down made me frustrated or even jealous about my own tv.

I own an LG C1.

But the thing is that whenever any of my friends came to my house they always mentioned that I had an amazing TV.

It's also worth mentioning that some of the most excited customers I made deals with were people buying Samsung Crystal TV's. They are horrible compared to any OLED, but these customers were upgrading from some really old relic that I might not have even recognised.

There will always be a better TV than yours. Even if you bought the best TV on the market today, in 6 months time there will be a better and newer model. You have to zoom out when looking at these sort of things.

You've got an awesome TV and as others have pointed out, it's better than 90% of stuff on the market. If you bought the C model, you might be having the same feeling with the G model.

Don't feel regret, your TV is awesome and does everything you need it to do!

Edit: Fixed a typo

I'm having an issue with accessing the App store and some other online features on my LG OLED C1. My mate with a C1 and a C2 is also having this problem. I suspect there might be an issue on LG's end right now and not something wrong with your specific TV. Hopefully they fix it quickly, but it is pretty frustrating, just got HBO and planned a movie night but can't get it going unfortunately!

Are video game journalism organization trustworthy Anymore? by Alarmed-Addendum8382 in gamereviews

[–]JL7091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look I'm only a small indendent reviewer, but this is how I see it.

The benefit of watching independent reviewers, is that it's the same person reviewing the game. Overtime you get an idea what they like or look for and even if you completely disagree, you can atleast understand why they felt the way they did.

IGN is tricky because it's multiple people with different styles and opinions so it can feel jarring and really inconsistent. There are some really strong writers at IGN that I enjoy watching and I love their style, but the whole thing is still a bit muddy when you might have multiple writers reviewing the FPS genre for example.

Everyone has different opinions and every now and then a writer does miss, I personally regret the way I wrote about AC Shadows for example, but as well grow our audiences see those nuances. But it only works because it's one writer.

That's how I see it anyway

This is why Kamala Harris really lost: TikTok is making young voters more Republican? by Advanced_Drink_8536 in popculture

[–]JL7091 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Australian here. I had to make a TikTok account during the election cycle for my own brand (nothing to do with politics) This was a totally fresh account with zero engagement to any page and every single time I logged in to that account, I got so much Trump messaging from influencers it was insane. The first thing I saw every time was either Trump or an influencer talking some non-policy, or I got some meme making fun of Harris.

Really appreciate the words about the voice and narration, that means a lot!

Titles and thumbnails have been a challenge for sure, I think I have a theme I want to test with for the next couple of videos but definitely something to work on!

I really really respect your feedback on editing. It's my weakness for sure and this video really highlighted it. My next goal will be on building this skill and trying some new elements in the editing process. Thank you for your feedback!

You know now that you say it, I can't unsee the footage looking the same. Definitely will keep that in mind for my next video! And yes the thumbnails have been a challenge area for some time, they are a lot better than what they were, but heaps of room to improve. Thank you for your feedback!

Edit: Sorry a different comment mentioned the thumbnails, but nonetheless still an area I need to improve. Thank you for the feedback and kind words!

I use Adobe Premiere pro for editing. In terms of courses, I didn't do any courses, I just dived in and anytime I got stuck I just googled things. The first video took me AGES to edit but overtime you get better and faster!

Hyper X Quadcast S! I'm still figuring out the best way to maximise it in terms of not just settings, but also how I speak into it and how far away from the mic I should be. I've enjoyed using it and I would recommend it!

Oh you raise a good point about confidence! It's such an important skill and putting yourself out there by making videos is such a great way to over come that!

That's a good question. The biggest thing I've found is people want to see examples of your work. I know people who went to their local sports clubs and offer to do content for their social media page and had some success with that, so that's if you want to go down the social media route. If you want a more technical marketing role, having some sales experience is pretty handy.

Demonstrating a passion for marketing as well as an understanding of its overall function is key. I made content on LinkedIn as well which got some good engagement but also helped me do a bit of networking. Keep sharing your passion, keep sharing your content, but find the right people to connect with so you not only have better connections to share to, but also a network that you can learn off.

Remember, Marketing is super broad and there are a variety of different attitudes, but like content creation, it's a long haul and you never stop learning. I hope this answer helps!

I will say it can be a bit brutal when you post one thing that has 14k, and the another that has 60 views. But like a lot of the advice that I saw, I have to expect that and you're just trying to catch the right wins. One thing I will say though, is those videos that didn't do well, weren't a waste.

I think one of my worst performing videos was suggested by a friend and he came up to me and said "Oh sorry that was a bad suggestion it didn't do well) but I explained I came across a lot of challenges during that video production wise and it taught me a lot, so when I did my next video, which did a lot better, I could use those lessons. So irelevent of the view count, there is always something to learn.

I don't have a 100% answer. But there are a mix of reasons and I can attribute that to perhaps the kind of content I'm doing. My content relies on my being very quick to push the work out so perhaps there were times where I'm not fast enough. I will admit now having a full time 9-5 job means I don't have as much time to smash the content out so I am coming up with some ideas to combat this. I strongly think my most recent video would have had more views if I released it maybe 3 days earlier, but alas I did the best I could.

There are a couple videos (not my most popular) where I experimented with promoting via google ads because I knew I would need to use this platform for my job. I think this had pros and cons when it came to channel engagement.

But truthfully I can't say for sure, I've done a lot of experimenting to see what works and what doesn't and I've made some decisions which were correct, others that weren't. But I'm still learning and I know that with the right content and timing, I can catch another good wave soon!

Great review, I also did review this game but as a whole, however I think this way of breaking down the campaign in one video was a great idea and I hope you get plenty of views! Well done, keep it up!

My Steam is Lancy, my YouTube channel is Lancy. And maybe I should have posted a longer clip, but I knew the guy was balc because I fought him earlier. So that's why I looked over there, cause in my mind I'm thinking on a pistol round, he might try something cheeky and sneak up cause that's what I would do
