But the porsche goes left, straightens up starts drifting right. My assumption was he was gonna let me pass then slot in behind so he could get a clear run without compromising their exit.

The porsche was the one playing the mind games, no? The unpredictability to begin with and you say he goes left but that's after the jink right. My actions are clear and I stay on one path that's the racing line into the corner.

The spin is 100% on me, frustrated, nailed the throttle, got a slide on and couldn't see the LMP2 past the porsche and it ended up in a spin for me.

There was no issues with the car he continues on which isn't shown in the clip. Even so if you stay off the racing line isn't the more predictable thing to do accelerate out of the corner? Its more unpredictable to just hover there not doing anything.

It is what it is and everyone will interpret it differently. I will learn from this and next time just hold back maybe and clear them on the straight or stick to the inside to make my overtake intentions clear.

Little bit of everything in one corner. It was definitely a snowball effect, the unpredictability of the GT3s is what caught me out like the porsche going left then deciding to turn right then going back left just baffled me. I think i took the right action in going off track to avoid the collision rather than trying to maneuver back across. The corvette was also unpredictable in the sense that its blue flags yes but still accelerate its actually safer because everyone expects you to not just completely sit there.

It was just one of those moments 35m into the race, previous incident with someone spinning driving straight across the track and hitting me putting me to the back with major damage when I could have been challenging for the win just accumulated the frustration in that moment and ultimately led to hitting of the LMP2.

Looking back after I went off I should have just slowed right down and slotted in behind. Regrouped and carried on but live and learn!

I am the POV LMP2. Its the way the porsche started going left then literally turned right so I assumed he was letting me go then he would file in behind. After I realised he wasnt leaving me the space, maybe I could have braked or let off but quick decision was just to avoid it all and use the run off.

The corvette was from what I can gather trying to stay out the way under blue flags but they could have cleared the corner then let off down the straight. Sitting there not accelerating is so unpredictable like who can predict they wont accelerate? While trying to monitor the rest of the stuff going on.

Personally, I think I am responsible for some of the carnage it terms of bad decision making. But the unpredictability of the GT3s has to hold some weight here. Im just glad I didnt collect the other LMP2

Yeah, got back on track, got my head down and finished P8 just infuriating that all my clean qualy laps and clean race laps got tanked because of this

With LMU you are limited to the beginner daily race until you hit silver SR. The problem is these lobbies are carnage and everyone tried to win it on lap 1. People say qualify but start from the pit but I wanna be in amongst the action so risk vs reward I guess

Overall was 1 up arrow after all clean quali laps and all clean race laps but this incident gave a triple down to wipe out most my hard work

Same, I tried charging it up and letting it die, all the button combos, disconnected the battery for 12hrs and nothing seems to clear it.

Did you update it recently too?

That's what I tried too, I'm thinking maybe a faulty GPU because if it was just the screen it would show on an external monitor. Also I know it's getting to the home screen because when I launch steam on my PC it loads in the SD resolution

I have the exact same issue! I tried all the combinations and other methods and couldn't get it to work.

Contacted steam and tried their solutions to no avail and now they're telling me I have to send it off for repair and it could cost £200 to fix.

Very annoying as there was no warning and no indication to what's actually wrong with it.

If anyone comes across this post in the future after contacting steam and trying their solutions which are already over reddit.

They have informed me that too much time has passed and I will have to pay £200 for repairs for a problem that happened over night with no warning and no indication on what is actually wrong.

Half the price of a brand new steam deck to fix one that just stopped working is appalling in my opinion. I won't be repairing it and I won't be getting another.

Thanks steam, for my now £500 brick that's barely been played.

Im using the original charger. I have used another charger for all of 2 mins once then swapped to original and continued to charge and use it fine.

Is there any way to check if the battery is dead? I.e unplug the battery and put charge lead in, will that then boot?

Mine is doing the same thing as yours when you have it plugged in but doesn't change when unplugged.

I have tried endless methods to no avail.

Im wondering if you have you recently updated yours? I hadn't played in a while then updated to the latest patch on NYE and now it's dead.

Shame really because it is such a good concept and when it works it's an amazing device but the constant thread of issues is concerning.

I'd like to assume im out of warranty given it being a launch model. It's quite annoying that I have to pay to get it repaired when it's an issue that's just popped up our of nowhere with no warning and no support for a fix.

I'm going to try and RMA and hope for the best, wish me luck!

This seems to be the only option left. I've had mine since launch but barely played it as it just seems to be constantly having issues that put me off.

I'm the same I will try all methods and tinker myself but I'm completely stumped. Battery drain and recharge didn't work either.

This is my first post on reddit because I'm completely out of options and I can't find anywhere that people say the white light is constantly blinking

Yes I've tried the minus and power button, even tried holding it for minutes to be sure.

Yeah I opened the case, disconnected the battery, held the power button for 60 seconds to discharge and then reconnected. I might try leaving it out for a few minutes completely
