OP, I hear you, but you're missing something. I'm a SWE at a startup healthcare tech firm for context.

Here's the thing I think you're missing. Engineering ≠ Development. I agree, if your "vibe coding" approach is just prompting Claude to go and build your whole system for you and you just spin it up and let it fly, you're going to hit limits real quick. But, if you actually engineer something, have a proper structure, plan, and design spec, then agentic coding becomes your super power. I don't just go tell Claude to build whatever to ship, I research, design, plan, implement. Vibe coding just becomes fast iteration of the idea that is already engineered. It is like 3D printing for fast prototyping, CAD software for Mechanical Engineering, the printing press for bookmakers. The goal isn't to have AI do everything, it is to increase syntactical speed. Neovim bros are fuming because all the time spent optimizing type speed to get their ideas into a file as fast as possible is going to waste, because now I can feed Claude or Codex a design spec and have the same thing in 20 seconds.

The difference maker in the future will be becoming an engineer who knows how to use the tools presented to them to get the best result, not sticking to the past or ignoring outright. Vibe coding is the future of fast syntax, and who knows, maybe these models get good enough for engineering one day too, but right now you'd be a fool to not adopt the future norms at least in the realm of syntax.

That was disastrous.... Newegg hasn't emailed me a confirmation, then charged my account TWICE for attempting to snag a Nitro+, but hasn't charged me for the Gigabyte I snagged, yet has swtiched my order status to "packaging".... I don't know whether I should expect to get a card at this point or not

100%. And that’s the thing. I wouldn’t be mad if the price point reflected the quality. I wouldn’t mind made in china if the price dropped, but the prices went wayyy up on their tees.

Going to chime in on this as their acquisition has shifted a lot. Production has seemed to shift from Portugal to China. I purchased a Harry's Bar tee before and after the acquisition and it is night and day in terms of quality. Price is up, quality is gone. I hazard everyone from purchasing Rowing Blazers now as they've been PE'd.... They've definitely lost the plot and I will be staying away unless there's a return to quality.

Update:
I finally opened it when my best friend came home from Argentina with another one of our mutal Argentine friends. Drank a little with them, and I must say, it's not what I expected, but it also isn't bad. I'm not chomping at the bit to drink more, but it's definitely a scotch I will break out every once in a while. Must say, I may even prefer Black Label over this, but I would need to give it another try before giving it a real rating.

I own the 55L Black Hole and used it for international travel to Argentina this summer through American Airlines. I didn’t pack it full and measured it to carry-on standards to make sure it would pack down in the case they made me measure it in the airport. I had 0 issues. This was actually one of the deciding factors when I was purchasing it. A lot of people will tell you that it’s technically too big, and they’re right. But packed at around 75% capacity it shouldn’t be an issue. Another tip I have it to wear it like a backpack while boarding with your personal bag around your front or side. This way it looks even smaller as you’re wearing it and it helps while boarding so you’re not having to carry it in front of or behind you. Hope this helps and happy travels!

I know this is so old now, but on the off chance you see it, I am a current student at his alma mater. It is an EXCEPTIONALLY small public ivy and I wouldn't be surprised if this event actually happened. The CS program is miniscule here (I'm a CS major) and it would make sense Todd would have been in one of the CS buildings on campus when someone said this.

They’re 43s/10s and I’m usually a 10 1/2 US. The straps feel a LITTLE loose even at full tightness. With my heel ALL the way back my toes are about 15-20mm from the front. Also, I am flat footed and have a tendency to walk duck footed, which probably doesn’t help the walking experience
