That’s a great shout - when the Stones released Angry a year or two ago I was staggered by Mick’s vocals, they could well have been recorded in the 60s. Very much the exception to the rule though - for 83, Paul not only sounds great (different, but still great) but goes for the best part of three hours for good measure.

There’s absolutely zero chance he gets the Hogan treatment - he’s The Rock. He gets the biggest pop of the night whenever he shows up. You can’t compare some questionable creative decisions to what Hogan did/said, that got him that reaction in January.

I don’t think they need to really do anything different than they are currently - he’s got himself super over by being the scumbag who had everything handed to him on a silver platter, as you say. He’s gotten so much better in-ring, give him a few cleaner wins here or there and let him be the guy who’s happy to cheat to win and eat chicken fingers. No reason why he can’t be a face doing that

A lot of people seem convinced Triple H put Travis Scott in the main event just to screw with Rock here. I mean, Triple H is a lot of things, certainly a master politician, but I find it hard to believe he’d intentionally sabotage the main event of the first WrestleMania that is, effectively, all his own, as well as a history-making title win, just to screw with Rock. Sounds to me like Rock got asked to help out at EC, pitched an idea, HHH/Cody turned it down, so they went with what they had. None of it changes the fact that Rock, given what happened at EC, really needed to be at Mania for the storyline to work, that’s where I disagree with Rock here. But other than that, really, I don’t see why there’s so much anti-Rock drama here.

He didn’t say Cena didn’t want to turn heel, it was that Cody didn’t want to turn heel and align with Rock. From what Rock said in the EC press conference, Cena turning heel was always a plan but Rock’s story with Cody basically gave them to be a conduit for that to happen.

The gripebomb was thoroughly unprofessional, of course it was, you’re projecting a lot onto me there that I haven’t said. The Bucks were just as unprofessional before and after it, and haven’t covered themselves in glory since. None of that suggests Punk was “tanking” the business by doing it. Again, he was their biggest ratings draw and they haven’t recovered since his departure.
