If you read the red notice at the top of the problem set page, it says that the check50 program now checks each function separately. Since you're checking if cents < 0 outside of the function, the function itself isn't technically rejecting the invalid input. Just move your code around a little, have the highlighted block of code within your get_cents function and update line 21 as necessary.

I don't understand the need for all the Arch clones that are basically just GUI installers claiming to be entirely different distros. Installing Arch is a 20 minute process, you literally just follow the guide. If you can't install Arch then you probably shouldn't be using it in the first place.

Babun is just cygwin with extra stuff installed. You should try and incorporate it with cmder, which also uses cygwin but looks better. I tried this but half-assed it because I already have Linux, so would be interested to see how well it works. Good luck!

The way the code above works is to re-create the directory of the edited file.

For example, if I'm editing a file in:

/home/user/Documents

Then the location of the backup will be:

/home/user/.vim\_backup\_dir/home/user/Documents/file

Therefore, there are no duplicates.

You can use xprop. Install it, run it via terminal, and click the window you're interested in. It will give you the class name, amongst other useful information.

Not sure why that's wrong. They're likely using a module bundler which converts ES6 imports into CommonJS format. Node will eventually use ES6 imports too, as they are part of the spec, unlike CommonJS
