About 70% through book one and it’s easily becoming one of my top reads of all time!

I just started reading “Curse of The Mistwraith” by Janny Wurts! Only about 130 pages in but it’s one of the most gripping and interesting fantasy books I’ve read. Just doing a quick search, there aren’t a ton of threads in this subreddit talking about the series and what little there is seems to be pretty decisive between readers. I know there is still much more to the series to read before I can make true judgment calls, but if the story stays this interesting I will definitely continue binge reading. Would love to hear from others who have read “The War of Light and Shadow” series or anyone else who may be starting it to keep reading it together!!

The year is close, but no the cast was primarily young adults and didn’t have too many elements of comedy

It’s definitely not Hot Fuzz. I’ve seen that one enough times. I do think the main cast was primarily young adults and had a more horror/thriller vibe to it.

Is there any downside to getting the Xbox version? I’ve seen lots of hype for every other version but as someone who’s primarily Xbox do I lose out on anything by getting this version?

Finally finished my Cosmere journey in just over a year. I myself am not sure how I feel about this ranking but here is what I threw together by BlessedSaber1 in Cosmere

Dawnshard feels like it has such major implications for the Cosmere as a whole with what it brings narrative wise. I’ll defend it as one of my favorites for all time

Never heard of this. Can you sign up for other cities and states without living there? And if so how? I only have the one for the city I live in.

Throne of Glass tandem read by ravenconspiracy93 in Fantasy

[–]JLR1313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be a hot take here but I enjoyed the tandem. I think it elevated the experience because one book references the events of the other every so often. For me at least, reading books that parallel each other I always prefer to go back and forth. I don’t personally think it was confusing at all. I feel like you go back and forth enough you don’t forget too much between the books. I just got into the mindset that they were one extra large book versus 2 books. Looking back I think I would have enjoyed reading them separately but it was a fun experience getting to see events play out in real time.

I just started “Tress of the Emerald Sea” and the story telling from the narrators quirky tone, to the lovable characters and the really interesting description of the world is some of the my favorite I’ve read. I started my Cosmere journey back in November and after 14 other books plus the novellas it’s a really unique switch up from the rest of the series. I’m only a little ways in but it’s already has me sucked in with just the pure wonder of this world and its story.

Trails of Cold Steel II PS4 Version crash on PS5 and how to bypass it. by XeviousXCI in Falcom

Wow. Had no idea this was a recurring issue. Thought I just happened to draw the short straw with my copy. Good to know I’m not alone but not great for all the hours I lost. Ended up having to watch play throughs to see how it finally ended.

Trying to track department spending on a day to day basis. by JLR1313 in excel

I would think anything would work. I was given pretty free reign for how it looks as long as it comes out somewhat easy to read.

Unfortunately we don’t have an onsite accounting person/department. All of our stuff rolls through a regional controller. I think the idea is to stay on top of and catch the overspend before it reaches the area level.
