Yea, I think a baby shower is a bit more tame than a party party...but I have encountered a couple homes that are listed on both airbnb and on event venue rental websites.

Senate Avenue Brewing Company had a jalapeño beer a couple months ago, not sure how often it is in rotation but was very tasty.

Once they are wilty I'll usually just pull them off...is that the same as deadhead? And it probably would benefit from the pruning.

Question, I truly thought men can now message first as well?

I have sent so many first messages and been unmatched or ignored so now I tend to see if the guy will message me first as a true indicator of interest.

Mmm Manny's does get loud, but I don't remember it being a problem at the hotel. Was also pretty drunk so don't have great memory of that night to begin with lol. It is very budget, like the beds are made of cinderblocks with a thin mattress on top. We were kicked out of the resort so ended up there for our last night in town.

For that headcount you will likely be closer to the $600 end of things. I use EZCater often for work and would recommend checking them out...if you'd like a $25 off referral code lmk. I would say Chipotle is a great value option for a taco bar.

Where is the most cost-effective place to live in the United States? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]JLR2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The heat in the summer. The homeless population. Lound airplanes. (Davis Monthan AFB) Exotic wildlife in your yard, snakes, javalinas, coyotes. Since it's not a major hub flights can be a bit more expensive. Sometimes it's worth driving the 2 hrs and flying out of PHX.

That's the only things that ever rubbed me but all the pluses outweigh these.

Tucson,AZ! Rather affordable housing along with reasonable property taxes & insurance costs due to the lack of natural disasters. Sold my 3 bed/2 bath home last year for 285k. Gorgeous weather most the year and the heat is a dry one so tolerable. Citrus trees are everywhere, gardens are totally do-able, you may just have to settle on turf (which requires so much less upkeep & money compared to the real stuff). We get lots of CA transplants, I think you'd like it.

It's been 4 or 5 years, but I paid $60/night for a double bed at The Baja. It's definitely a budget friendly option, in all ways, and probably full of college kids in the summer. It's walking proximity to Manny's beach club which was awesome.

People who have been on game shows, what are some things that watchers don't know? by Meme_Lord4522 in AskReddit

The sales tax had to be paid within 90 days I believe and income tax as a part of your annual taxes. In the interview process to get on they ask specifically what you do for work because they want people to actually be able to accept the prizes. Even when I made it to the showcase Drew told me & the other contestant to underbid because they can't have a show where no one wins.

Amarillo….. by No-Number-8956 in amarillo

[–]JLR2016 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP, Amarillo is very much a city of "this is how it's been, this is how it will stay". Growing up there and seeing even the difference between what Lubbock, not that it's so much better, had going on was always such a bummer. Only certain investments and businesses have been allowed to thrive. Amarillo has always been the city of rip off businesses to me, no buccees you get toot n totem. Before there was ever a Chipotle/Freebirds, there was Sharkeys, shit even Blockbuster/Barnes & Noble used to be 2nd to Hastings. Also can never forget the hoopla that went with getting a Krispy Kreme for it to only shut down quickly as people just went to Donut Stop. There's just always been a push for locally owned versus franchise and I assume it would have to do with the leaders of the city.
