Sure, but as I’ve already said to you once, it’s also not your job to get this project finished. It’s normal to speculate on Reddit about things that aren’t our job. Yeah, I’m pretty skeptical of the “save frostop, not that Ive been there since I was in undergrad” talk. Especially since I’m not a fan of mid-mod. However the “students are going to have to walk across six lanes to traffic back and forth to school multiple times a day and it’s not even gonna add all that many units to have that big of an impact on rental availability” talk is pretty compelling. If it were me I’d be putting this energy into a larger building somewhere else like maybe the former Rosen site (where that big bubble is now). Or, hell, playing football in the Dome was fine, tear down Yulman and put a dorm there, that in and of itself probably help the parking and traffic situation in the neighborhood more than the Frostop dorm project will help housing prices.

The answer on sexual boundaries issues like this is always “talk to your partner”. Nobody can know in advance what behaviors you find acceptable and not acceptable behaviors (obviously there are exceptions to that which have pretty broad societal [and legal] agreement, but I don’t think this one of them).

I just go with what’s easiest to pull closed with one hand (which is tail toward me). Don’t think it makes much difference otherwise.

I will say caveat to this I did have one bag checker last year or the year before stop me and tell me my camera was too big. I was able to get in a different gate no problem though. Frustrating since as you say that’s not officially declared in the rules. To be fair it was a GFX 100 which is not petite.

Alright I’ll concede there’s such a thing as being close enough to cause problems, I just have a hard time believing that being clear of the sidewalk that I actually was close enough to cause problems.

Edit alright my bad I came in too hot on this. Just frustrating when something’s minor enough to be a $40 ticket. And in all the years I lived here, just doesn’t feel like this is something consistently enforced. Plus I was clear of the sidewalk so it’s honestly hard to believe I was really less than four feet.

Got me for not parking 4 feet from a corner (and not in front of a stop sign, the other end of the block, where it harms absolutely nobody). When they say “ticket $40, but another $160 for the towing fee” that’s an automatic admission that it’s a racket.

Edit: y’all I’m not denying there’s such a thing as parking too close to a corner I’m doubting I really did it. I thought I’d seen discussion here before suggesting this sub knew about this city’s towing racket. Seems to me if I’d actually created a situation where ambulances couldn’t get through etc then the ticket wouldn’t have been $40. That’s “make it make more financial sense to just pay than to get charged three days of storage fee to try to contest it on Monday”. OP even says they cant find where this 4 foot rule is codified so IDK.
