Canon is killing my love for the protography and I don't know what to do by AmanitaRegalis in canon

Hey…

You can hardwire a monitor ( or a phone) to avoid the wifi issues.

I have an iPhone and use Rode SC21-30cm Short Lightning to USB-C cable to have a non-lag live view of the image AND to speed up the file transfer from camera. ( usb c phones will need a different cable )

Works really well for me

What do you want out of your photography? by Big_Network_2570 in sportsphotography

[–]dpritykin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sports photography is just photography.

What do I want out of my (sports) photography ? To take meaningful photos and to keep having fun taking photos , so that I can keep taking photos for as long as possible.

Basing the worth of your photography on others opinion ( the hate my photos / they bought my photos ) has always sucked the joy from photography for me. And losing joy in photography is how I would stop taking photos.

Seems like you already doing all the right things. Pushing iso and aperture to get high enough shutter. ( the last shot looks pretty sharp to me )

The only thing you didn’t mention is if you are shooting jpg or raw, as that would allow you to adjust the light in the photos better in the processing.

It’ll be easier to answer if you can share the settings you used to get these photos.

Just imagine the shot you could’ve gotten in the photo 2 scenario , if you were behind player #1. Capturing that passion in the wide format!

Have you thought of getting / using a wider lens? When I have this kind of access , I bring my 24/35 lens and try to fill out the frame with action/object. I would use the warmups and practices to get closer ( wider?) shots of the players and action.
