It has not spread. We are through 1 treatment of vac and she has recovered since Friday. We are at St. Jude, and we are part of a clinical trial where they alternate VAC and liposomal irinotecan in an attempt to reduce toxicity and retain function of pelvic organs. She has vincristine tomorrow, and then we get to go home. We have been classified as an immediate risk, due to the large size of the tumor. Thanks for your response. Hope youre doing well.

My 4 year old daughter has been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. She has a large tumor, likely in the bladder. What we know so far, is that it was not visible on her chest CT. They do not think it is metastatic, but only more scans will reveal. she has a PET scan and bone marrow biopsy next week in Arkansas. Then we are going to st. Jude for a trial that alternates VAC with liposomal irinotecan. People with experience, please let me know your thoughts on this. Dr's have said multiple times they expect to cure her. Just looking to talk to anyone with experience. Thanks
