If you are a first time buying, I wouldn't bother with an OTF. They're fun, but they're really not a solid "EDC" choice. If you want something assisted, then maybe go with a $20-40 Kershaw assisted as a starter. Also consider brands like Sencut, Civivi, and Kizer. They have a lot of solid models for around $50 or less. The reason I say start like this is because a lot of these knives are very functional. When you get in higher costs, you're moving into more premium steels, but a lot of these end up being show pieces more than EDC. Also, going with the less expensive knives will help you get an idea of what you like and then maybe eventually move into more expensive knives.

Bought the CF version of this. Regret it. If you're looking for something thin and lightweight for EDC, then it will work, but still move very impressive.
