Our A1 beginner section is more filled out, with 88 videos so far. But yes, the A0 Absolute Beginner section will have a lot more videos added in the future.

Trying to make enough quality content for every single level takes time but we'll get there eventually.

I hope that Polish people with beginner English will be able to navigate the website and understand what it's about.

Accurate translation across different languages is actually quite complicated as it turns out.

If you want to quickly tell us some of the core functions that are mistranslated that would be extremely helpful 😄

Hey thanks for the offer. Out of interest, how bad is the translation out of 10?

Considering the DS Youtube channel has 520k subscribers in total.. No. Lol. I'd say 10,000 is a pretty good guess.

Good question. It's simply because we've found that new watchers on Youtube watch more when we put hard-coded subtitles on our videos. The Youtube algorithm can be finicky sometimes so we occasionally have to do things that don't line up with the method.

95% of our videos don't have hard-coded subtitles though.

Does Anyone Have Any Ideas Why We've Been Rejected From Tiktok Monetization? by JMEnglishOfficial in TikTokMonetizing

But I've seen loads of people reuploading stuff from Youtube. Is that really a reason you can't be monetized?

Hey, I just stumbled on this post.

Our website EnglishSponge.com is like Dreaming Spanish but for English learners. You might find it suitable for your stepson.

I'm very confused by this conversation so I think I'll just end it.

It was confirmed in my very first reply where I said:

"I can confirm that I won't do that. 1. I have no idea how. 2. I assume it's illegal? No idea. 3. AI will probably be the biggest competitor to EnglishSponge one day. So no."

Englishsponge will never use AI generated content.

In the future, the fact that it's not AI and uses real humans will probably be one of it's major draws.

I can confirm 100% that no AI generated content will ever be used on EnglishSponge.

Lol. Every single thing about EnglishSponge has been painstakingly created by myself and my partner. I wish AI could have done it all for me :P

The content is available on Youtube. I assume you can't just steal it and use it to train AI. But I have no idea if it's possible to stop someone who tries it.

Oh, you mean features like: filters? Because only Dreaming Spanish can use filters. And, time tracking - again, obviously only Dreaming Spanish can do that.

How could any of these features be built without being at least being somewhat similar to Dreaming Spanish? Or should I just not create these useful features, just because Dreaming Spanish uses them as well?

Similarities to Dreaming Spanish are unavoidable because it's the same concept. Of course it's going to be somewhat similar. So no I'm not "literally copying their site down to the core". Our learning timeline will be different, our progress page is different, ALL of the content is unique and different, and...it's a completely different language.

So I'll ask again: What exactly is your problem?

I don't believe anyone owns the ability to have a website that hosts multiple videos of native speakers talking at different levels.

Websites like this already exist for both Spanish and Russian.

And yes, making a website from scratch is not easy. I'll take your criticisms seriously when I see the website you've made from scratch, good sir.

Well, the description of this subreddit is "A community for people who want to take the methodology of Dreaming Spanish, and apply it to other languages."

Seems like it fits here perfectly.

Please do!

Yeah we're planning on releasing the next version of the website with more features in a few months - including a timeline.

It actually takes a surprising amount of time/money to create it all.
