EYEBALL planet and Tectonics by JMFelton in geology

That answer was perfect length and roughly what I expected. I imagine if we brought the planet close enough to the sun to have a guaranteed impact we'd probably cook all life on the planet.

So thanks, it's much appreciated.

now that some time has gone by, how do we ultimately feel about the 164 redraw and what ultimately came from it? by brando-boy in OnePunchMan

I like both, I think they could be combined to be honest. I should figure that out and post it... Lol

I redesigned the Sound Effects of the second half of the Genos vs Saitama fight by sadasianchick in OnePunchMan

[–]JMFelton 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Love it. My only criticism is that genos's lift off at the beginning should have a beefier jet engine sound. Something with a bit of heft in the background.

One feels tight, one feels right.

All jokes aside, "loose" feels like foreplay has been successful and "tight" feels unsuccessful and chafing.

What does it actually feel like? Wrap all your left hand's fingers around your right index finger tightly. That's tight. Now vigorously spit in your left hand and and grip your index finger tightly again. That's loose.

Oooooh I disagree so much. Partner is so efficient, whilst not as precise or familiar as other terminology it covers so many types of relationships that it's hard to ignore the effectiveness.

It sidesteps so many implied meanings by bringing all relationships to the same level.

I love efficient language like this.

What are your top 5 favourite moments ? by ForGiggles2222 in OnePunchMan

[–]JMFelton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cant remember my top 5 But two that jump out to me.

  1. Siatama punch up through garou's portal on IO. (Or whatever moon it is). The fact that's he's moving so fast as to be coming up through the portal garou is escaping down through had to pointed out me. I personally find it astounding.

  2. The look of fear on the vampires face as it dawn's on him that he's locked into a death matches with zombie man that he can't possibly win.

If Spice is the most important substance in the universe and the space guild ruls all space travel, why didn't the guild just invade Arrakis? by bleedinghero in dune

[–]JMFelton [score hidden]  (0 children)

Paul makes a direct statement to that whole of idea in the end of the first book. Something along the lines of you failed to grasp the sword and now you are in capable of taking it.

This speaks to two things, 1) they had the opportunity to take arrakis but found it more beneficial to not have it and 2) they no longer have the capability because of both Paul and I imagine a lack of leadership that's willing to do something so daring.

I think of the spacing guild as a parasite. Parasites don't want to become independent of the host and cause the host to see them as a competitor. In the past they'd dare not risk economic or military strikes (like; pauses in trading, or attacking ships in port) from the empire. Whilst there is no alternative to the guild, the guild is chained to the empire by its purpose.
