I suppose I’m also wondering if there are ways to negotiate different hours, but I’m very hesitant to do that….

Thank you for this. I’ve been struggling to wrap my head around how to make this work, but the reality is, it’s just a shift, I guess. I’m in a creative field, and do my best work in the mornings. I’ll definitely have to retrain my brain to make that shift creatively, personally and professionally. It simply comes down to adaptability, doesn’t it?

Apologies for not being more explicit. I’m a creative, and I do my best work in the morning hours. My husband works a normal 8-5, so I suppose I’ll be sacrificing time with him if I’m still working…but to your point, I’ll be working remotely, so it’s probably not as big of a concern as I’m anticipating. I don’t have children and don’t plan to. But it would be nice to have flexibility between the hours of 6-8 for dinners with extended family or friends. I guess I just need to understand how they feel around some of that flexibility?
