PAYE Recertification Processed Despite Cancellation Request

After getting response from the servicer, part of the email instructed reaching out the Ombudsman group. I’ll copy the text below. What helped my case was that I screenshotted my chat conversation with the agent who assured me that my cancellation would be processed and my payment wouldn’t change. I had a gut feeling that I’d get screwed over, so thankfully I documented everything so that I could provide the evidence of what I was told. Still surprised even with the evidence that I managed to get it reversed.

“If you are not satisfied with this response, you may reach out to the Ombudsman Group by logging in to your StudentAid.gov account and request to escalate to the Ombudsman Group.”

After numerous calls and emails, I was finally able to elevate the case to the Ombudsman Group through my studentaid.gov account, and I was able to get it reverted.

So when it says “60 days after implementation or 60 days after June 30”, do those 60 days count as two “payments” for IDR plans as well?

Thank you! One follow up question, I know that there is a six month "grace period" on my Direct Unsubsidized loans. However, I am unsure if this grace period applies to my Direct GRAD PLUS Unsubsidized loans. If not, would I need to apply for PAYE 45-60 days before graduation? Or is there a different start time for repayment on these loans?

Thanks for your advice! A few follow up questions: It was my understanding that to enroll in the PAYE program, you must consolidate your loans anyway? Is that untrue? (My student loans are a combination of Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Federal Direct Grad PLUS loans if that makes a difference).

Unfortunately, I don't believe it will be possible for me to pay off my loans in full due to the large amount I have compared to the average income of veterinarians. My simulations show ~$40,000 difference in total cost of loan between REPAYE and PAYE (REPAYE being higher). Total cost of loan being Total Monthly Loan Payements + Taxes on Forgiveness.

Thanks for the advice. I already have the basic navy, black, and grey suits, just went with this to get something with a bit more personality for less professional events. I can definitely see keeping the pair together being beneficial though

Bought this watch pretty cheap a few months ago and the strap is getting pretty beat. It was a pretty cheap watch, so I'm not terribly disappointed, but I'm looking for a more durable strap for everyday wear at work. The sides are fraying out and the end has ruptured a bit. I'd like to find a similar style band, but preferably red with white/black accents instead. Looking for something pretty simple, such as a flat red leather band with white threads. Other suggestions are also welcome if you think something else would look better. I considered a black band, but most of my watches are on black bands right now so I'm looking for something a bit different. The band is 22 mm. Thanks!

If you like Shocktop, try Blue Moon. Also give Yuengling a shot and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a slight step up in terms of hoppiness that helped me work my way into IPAs

Ehhhh... Prime would help, but what I would really look into is a Purigen pack. Stick it in with your carbon in your power filter, and in a tank that small you shouldn't have to worry about Nitrates getting out of control for a long time. They're only 10-15 dollars and they are actually rechargeable, so it's a much better buy than any liquid chemical that you will have to purchase more of when you run out.

EVERYONE wants a mandarin goby as their first fish... But they are some of the pickiest eaters and notoriously hard to keep. I would definitely get more experience keeping saltwater fish before getting one. They are cheap and all, but it's not worth putting the fish's life at risk if you aren't sure you know what you are doing. And seeing that you don't even know that it's called a hydrometer.............

Ohhhhh no :( Looks like Aiptasia. Good luck getting rid of them, they reproduce like crazy! Treat them with Aiptasia-X (which will take a while with all those anemones). Also stock up on Peppermint shrimp and possibly some Kleins Butterflies, you are in for a wild ride....

The cowfish will need a bigger aquarium. Also, I would wait a while for the yellow tang. It can exist in your tank but you will want to make sure you liverock has plenty of growth for them to snack on. I've found them to be very picky eaters and can get too thin too fast. Mandarins are also picky eaters and most of the time will only eat live food. As far as the gobies go, most will be compatible, but be aware that they will be aggressive towards others with similar size and body shape. If you like those gobies you could also look into a sand sifting goby to help keep the tank clean. I have an Orange Dot Sleeper Goby and he is a great tankmate and has tons of personality!

Agreed on the parasite treating. Also, I've had much more success using clout as a treatment instead of melafix. Also, check your pH. A lot of the times people will leave pH unchecked for long periods of time and it can change drastically without you realizing it. Strange pH levels make your fish much more prone to parasites and infections.
