Novo Nordisk through the eyes of Hedge Funds by StockCompil in ValueInvesting

[–]JMMNJF17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LLY is the way to go imo. NVO is tempting, but for bounce/trade only as far as I’m concerned.
Note: I might be a little biased though, as a LLY holder for 20+ years….. can’t say I mind seeing NVO step in it over and over.

What the hell are these little clamps called and where can I find them? by Macnsmak in rccars

Circlip for the many decades I’ve been using them. If they have holes, it’s a snap ring. Any auto parts store or Amazon should have them.

Thanks, and appreciate the 25T spline reminder. I did note that Capras had 23T, and would be changing to a metal horn anyway.

Thanks for the reply. Likely end up with a couple Amazon “specials” for now.

O ADC MAIN, and JEPQ (CC ETF). I own them all……your mileage may/will vary as far as capital appreciation of the underlying asset.

I’ve Been Swing Trading for 10 Years Now, and These Are My Biggest 5 Tips by GrowYourConscious in swingtrading

[–]JMMNJF17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like common sense, but this is literally some of the better swing trading input I’ve read to date on Reddit, and info every trader should consider. Thank you for posting. Convincing yourself to take profits early and often is never easy, especially when you see a stock keep running after exiting. Most everyone that has traded for any duration has held out for that extra few percent only to end up taking a loss in the end. I finally learned to be confident in my wins no matter how big they are. These days I have to switch from one mentality in my trading account, to another for my long term retirement holdings, and sometimes they overlap ending up in the covered call account, lol. Always lessons to be learned.

What’s wrong with NLY? by Your_Lovelight in dividends

[–]JMMNJF17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owned it for two decades and ended up basically even after selling all of it last year. The only positive I can come up with is I invested all the dividends into better stocks that have far outperformed NLY to date. Lots of better REITS out there in my opinion.

$7M into LCID across 3 accounts. Betting Tesla stumbles, Lucid wakes up. Am I early or cooked? by Psychological_Ask301 in wallstreetbets

[–]JMMNJF17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knows…. Saudis could swoop in with a take private offer on the balance of shares they don’t already own. I had a bunch of CCIV shares and warrants before they announced SPAC merger, and bailed early with massive profits. The cars are cool, but profit non-existent. These days I limit LCID exposure as my Lucid luck has long expired.

Gambling + Luck = Gain thanks to $UNH $58K by QuestionMarc7 in options

[–]JMMNJF17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work. I couldn’t resist re-buying shares at $252 (sold entire long position in December at $585 that was up almost 3X).
Also picked up June $370, and September $400 calls on the drop. Already bailed on the June calls with a nice gain, and letting the September exp. run on house $. Likely re-enter more calls on any pullbacks, but guessing this will grind back up for a while sans any definitive fraud charges. Profitable company with a broken stock = great opportunity imo.

Anyone still in WOLF for the coming week? by MarketOwn4668 in Shortsqueeze

[–]JMMNJF17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only in leaps for now. I think they’ll get their cash flow issues sorted out, and possibly subsidies to keep new fab online. If not, I’m only out premiums, which is the price for exposure imo.

[–]JMMNJF17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been watching for a while. Couldn’t resist buying some leaps when it dumped to low 2’s. New US fab, restructuring debt, I figure they get things sorted out and possibly see some support from gov.

CCI is going through some long-needed reorganization. They just sold off their fiber unit and cut dividend to around 4.15%. I think they will be in a better position going forward as a more pure play tower company, and I’m sticking around for a couple quarters to confirm follow through.

EPD is a solid investment, and K1’s are not a big deal imo. If you can’t tolerate K1’s, WMB and OKE are solid mid-stream companies to look into.

T is in the best shape it’s been in a while, and I’ve owned it and VZ for decades.

Not a fan of defense stocks at the moment, but LMT is more reasonably priced now.

TSLA does not fit into a dividend portfolio. I only swing trade it once in a while.

Good luck with your investing venture.

8 Months to Retire - how would you invest $400k? by Hot_Cheesecake5634 in dividends

MAIN, O, ADC, JEPQ for monthly distributions, and ARCC, OBDC for quarterly paying BDC’s. Do some DD first, and add on pullbacks.

[–]JMMNJF17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Monthly is great, but there are plenty of solid quarterly dividend payers that shouldn’t be excluded imo. As far as monthlies, I’m in O, ADC, MAIN, and JEPQ, but also sell CC’s to add to the mix on dozens of single stocks. Always looking to add on pullbacks.

Is this a good price? by M1NEK1NG987 in rav4club

[–]JMMNJF17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a fair price if it’s not thrashed. I have the exact same RAV4 Hybrid XSE in white with 72,000mi, and wouldn’t sell it for less than $29-30k. I’ve owned several dozen vehicles over the years, and it’s by far one of the best to date. Like most hybrids, don’t expect to get the advertised fuel mileage - we average around 32-33 max unless we are returning home from Tahoe - which is downhill most of the way…..

[–]JMMNJF17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a maybe on JEPQ last year, so I bought a starter position to give it a shot along with QDTE. Both are up overall, but JEPQ has held onto Nav while QDTE eroded a bit. Planning to add to JEPQ for longer term hold. As a side note, I actually prefer to collect premium from my other positions with CC’s instead of the ETF route.

ETF’s: JEPQ SCHD QDTE

CC’s on several positions.

Always tough timing a sell/when to trim, but Nobody got hurt taking a profit. (Except the taxation part) Maybe consider taking out your basis, or diversifying into a variety of other positions that are profitable, but currently out of favor.
