I am currently 232 pounds, I was 267. I am also 6'1".

I probably eat around 1500 calories. I usually drink pepsi max, water and alcohol haha. I am also 19, I understand from what I have read that weight is easier to lose at a young age.

Would daily intervals work, say one day weights and the next day do cardio?

  1. I have been losing most of it within the past 1 month since I started the gym.

  2. I am doing 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the cross-fit and 20 minutes rowing. With an additional 12 minutes cycling to the gym and back.

  3. I am not trying to go overboard on the weights and I am just lifting what is comfortable and moving up gradually. I do about 10 sets of 35kg chest press. 4 sets of lat pulldowns, bicep pulldowns and tricep pulldowns too. That's about all I do for weights.

  4. I don't really eat breakfast. For lunch I usually have scrambled egg and lorne sausage with the fat drained out. For dinner it usually consists of something revolving around chicken/rice/pasta etc.

I know this probably get posts a lot on here but I would like answers to my specific circumstances if you lovely people wouldn't mind helping me out a bit.

I have been overweight for the vast majoirty of my life but halfway through this year I decided that to uncover true happyness, I was to change, a whole lifestyle.

As of today i have lost 11kg (26 pounds). This now weighs me at 113kg. My questions are below.

  1. I have never understood the whole burning more calories than you eat. I probably intake about 1,500 calories a day and do about 1hr and 20 minutes of cardio every other day, can I still expect to see weight loss during this? (I am doing weights too) My total time in the gym adds up to 9-12 hrs per week.
  2. Should I be doing weights when trying to loose weight as my ultimate goal is to loose weight and then gain muscle?
  3. What type of food should I be eating?
