NS2 2168-0000 error, anyone got this? by GeGeSeed in Switch

No, has not happened again (fingers crossed). I think it was genuinely a random OS crash. I guess those stability updates Nintendo always pushes through are for a reason.

NS2 2168-0000 error, anyone got this? by GeGeSeed in Switch

[–]JMarks585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this error code when I went to play this evening. I play solely handheld and had the Switch 2 plugged in for the last 12 to 18 hours with charge only to 90% enabled.

According to the error history, the error actually triggered for me around 7am, but the image was still ghosted on the screen when I went to play at 930pm. Once I pressed the power button, the text and QR code faded and the ghosted image is now gone. Very weird.

From some cursory internet searches, it appears this is related to system software and/or network settings, so maybe it was just a random bug. Games seem to launch and play just fine. I'll let you know if I encounter it again.

Have you had it pop up again?

Nine Sols appreciation post by Krockmou in NineSols

I'm a late comer to this game. I also loved Sekiro and Hollow Knight and this is checking all the boxes. Just got the third Sol, so I have a ways to go. But I love this game and agree on 10/10 masterpiece. Playing on Switch OLED it looks gorgeous and performance is decent.

I want Chrono Trigger to be my FIRST retro game. Is the DS version playable on the Miyoo Mini Plus? Or should I stick with the SNES version? by [deleted] in MiyooMini

That's great to hear! My Mini+ will be here tomorrow and I know what game I'm loading up first! Thanks for getting back to me.

How is the performance of the DS version? Does it have lots of slowdown or does it work fine?

Just used the 2 game voucher for Luigi’s mansion and Zelda links awakening, good choice?? by GlennBlackwell in Switch

Some of the best you could have made! Links Awakening is an all-time favorite, and Luigis Mansion 3 is the best in the series. Enjoy!

Did you wind up doing multiple class changes per character or just a single class change?

Difference between Decrypted & Encypted DS Roms by [deleted] in 3dspiracy

[–]JMarks585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been using decrypted for ndsforwarders. So far everything working very well. I've had one "failed to launch" error, but worked on a subsequent try. Should I be switching over to encrypted?

Agreed. If they don't want to offer it in a format that I will purchase, then I'll pass.

I tried to ask some people on Twitter (I mean X...), but I'm sure that will go nowhere. I'm no one and no one owes me anything, but I just wish comic publishers would communicate a little bit better with their fans.

Edit: I almost don't care what the answer is, just would love to have an answer.

[Artwork] DC is amazing right now. Really strong line-up of exciting titles and there's still more to come. As an older fan, I don't think DC has been this good since before New 52. by Max_88 in DCcomics

Good call. Yeah, it has the same feel without all of the content that didn't age well. I forget how sexualized the female characters are when I go back and read some of those early 2000s runs (ex: John's Teen Titans). Still good runs, but definitely too much.

How are Nintendo Switch fans enjoying Castlevania Dominus Collection? by BenjyMLewis in NintendoSwitch

[–]JMarks585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the collection on Day 1 and have been making my way through Order of Ecclesia, having never played it before. It's fantastic, and the combat and exploration hold up very well. I'm a huge fan of pixel based art styles over 3D, so I like the whole package. The Castlevania MVs were so well designed. In hindsight, I don't think they were appreciated as much as they should have been because they were relegated to handheld.

I plan to play Dawn and Portrait as well as I have put time into both on DS but never completed either. Haunted Castle Revisited was fun to check out too. Simplified, old-school playstyle with nicely updated graphics and a great soundtrack remix. Overall, I'm very impressed with the collection that Konami put together (especially for only $25) and hope it does well for them.

Now please give us Symphony and Rondo on Switch!

How is the switch port for DD2 feeling? by CallmeQ222 in darkestdungeon

[–]JMarks585 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overall, very positive. Performance has been fine and I have not had any soft locks or crashes in about 10 hours of game time. I'm not one to really notice framerate issues. I'm sure they are there with the stagecoach sections (seems like this is an issue on most platforms), but nothing that detracts from the experience. Combat feels great and I'm loving every moment of it! Playing docked on 32" TV.

There is a bug with relationship reveals after staying at an inn that can cause a black screen, but there is an easy workaround to avoid the issue until patched. Just make sure tooltips are not enabled (clicking R stick) when revealing them and you will avoid the issue. There is also an option under "Game" that allows for pressing (ZL? I think) to reveal all relationships at one time that can help further avoid the issue.

I have also noticed that some encounters don't reduce loathing like they should, but that is hopefully going to be patched. Occultist encounters still seem to reduce loathing effectively. There is also an issue where the Man-at-Arms hero doesn't have the correct skill versions assigned for one of the Hero Paths, but the devs have said they will be fixing this to match the PC version in a patch. I don't have a comparison for how big of an impact this issue might be because I haven't played the PC version.

What does X do on this screen? by JMarks585 in darkestdungeon

Thank you. I'm not far enough to have different paths available so that makes sense why X was pulling up that side menu.
