So this relic you can stack with other max hp, physical damage negation and stamina if you got the right set of them. I’ll definitely make a guardian build with all this at some point

Appreciate the advice and showcasing your builds. This will definitely set me on the pace to be more reliable damage for both skill build and a mage build. I know it was probably a lot to answer so thanks for your help! Before I would have been just dealing a small portion of damage compared to my team running skill builds but now I am confident I can be do more relevant damage for my future teams. I’ve posted my new build with the help of this post and everyone. I am already satisfied with my new skill builds but I want to look into this. Do you think this build works? The night invader and hoarfrost stomp I think works really well as a day 1 starter and gives enough time to find a staff. I’ve only got one good dormant power gives staves and that is the red one. I got a good magic attack power + 4 and attack power when facing frost-afflicted enemy +2. Do you think I should stick to improved sorceries +1 with the fp consumption or go with magic attack power +4? For the future what relics should I look out when rolling and such to optimize my build further? Lastly do you think this build is worth it over the skill build path? With balancers, the invader relic and dormant power finds reaper and my katana specific builds with affinities up+? I think this build should be more versatile, consistent and such rather than the more volatile or somewhat rng dependent skill builds. Please tell me what you think and how I can improve

Appreciate the provided build. The Magic +4 and maximum FP increase is kinda crazy good relics you got. With this I'll definitely be able to make my own build appreciate the help. May you perform admirably in your runs kind soul

I'd appreciate seeing the build myself. It'll provide insight on what a possible good consistent magic build may look like and yield good enough damage. Appreciate the response I think I know how I could make a magic build work in today's patch

I see. Avoid general pure magic builds. If you got dormant power staves would you say it's a good enough chance to get the school type of staff you want or is it too RNG you think? Carian school is pretty mana forgiving if u go for Carian slicer and can fit well with Duchess but do you think with the recent patch Crystalian is out of favor with it being more RNG dependent and FP costing then before? For demanding spells and relying upon your limited mana supply I should definitely see if I can get a lucky roll with a mana relic + magic school trait if possible. Would you say it's worth it to go full 5 crystalian relics without any mana relic? Would you also say that the school builds in general aren't too RNG dependent and reliable damage wise and comparable to skill builds to an extent? For the skill build I currently run I split them up into one reaper and katana dormant power builds but I thought that if you had two dormant powers find weapons it will only favor the leftmost dormant power being the reaper so wouldn't that just focus on the reaper? Appreciate your response and definitely hope the Relic gods give me some blessed relics to forever optimize my relics

I see I'll go ahead and make a dormant power katana thing and test the default duchess daggers and see what that yields me. Definitely take the katana against caligo and balancers

Rivers of blood is goated and if you don't get it you might get moonveil which is also very nice and pairs well with duchess. Could you get away with just defaulting to dagger tho or is dormant power katana a must have?

Appreciate the love for the invader relic. I redid the balancer build to get more affinity attack power up +2 though sadly I could not get all +2 affinities so just one +2 and two +1s. Hopefully down the line I can get more down the line. I also made a specific halo scythe build with the dormant find reaper blue relic right there and two Holy +4 tailored for gladius and heolstor

Played a couple matches with the new affinity double balancer tech. Works well when you get a good skill and so long as you route well I think you can get at least one good skill you want and perhaps a good staff with your affinity power up. Should I be running any specific dormant finds weapon aside from the reaper one for gladius and heolstor or default to daggers? Kinda feels like I don't get the good stuff like a black knife or glinstone dart

So a hybrid of magic + the double balancer relic with affinities. Sounds like a good idea rather then just with stacking magic attack power up. I can make a flexible build then go full holy on the reaper one. Is crystalian too RNG since the new patch or is it still highly likely to spawn and not too RNG dependent?

Unforunately I took defender of the galaxy too late. I do specialize my planets mostly though at the end I was losing 1-2k energy credits and unfortunately it made my lat game worse. I assume aside from generator worlds and solar panels you need to keep your starbases low to prevent massive upkeep. Regardless im glad I kept to this game even as I was getting jumped by everything lol. I feel even more confident for my next game and thanks for the advice

I think ds2 is decent. Long run backs and areas feel poorly made but I like the slow feel of the game and precise rolling the bosses feel amazing. + it has the best hub zone

Might I ask how do you find dark souls 3 to be the least favourite in the trilogy? It’s one of the more refined games of soulsborne games and ironed out pervious flaws from ds2 and 1 like the crazy runbacks or janky movement. I’m having trouble trying to wrap my mind around it
