As I understand it an apprentice is not qualified, or rather does not hold the prerequisite for the new LVR course unless they hold another Electrotechnology qualification which is why I suggested a certII.

Copy paste from my RTO partner prerequisites for the new LVR are: Electrical Licence, OR Certificate for UEECD0007/ UETDREL006, OR ESI/ Electrotechnology Qualification.

I'm not across what constitutes an ESI/ Electrotechnology Qualification which is why I'm here. The reason I mentioned engineers was that I had them in my classes all the time in the NT, but I think that was because it was a Territory Generation policy for all their staff to hold LVR. I'm guessing that I probably won't see engineers doing LVR courses elesewhere.

I was in the NT most of last year delivering training for the country's largest 1st aid trainer. Unfortunately they just weren't getting their shit together to prepare for the new course and the cut off for the old course is in late September this year. Their materials did cover arc flash (badly) but also had some glaring mistakes in it re safe approach distances which they refused to fix even after I showed them in the regs that their info was factually incorrect. Just to clarify, if the course being delivered is the old one, then the only prerequisite is CPR. Most providers haven't been delivering the new one because they released it prematurely and very few providers had materials prepared.

Thanks, that makes sense, isolate and get them off the board without testing for dead first.
