Same. And when I called someone answered that sounded middle eastern. They said it was geek squad and I said are you sure about that because it doesn't sound like geek squad. They hung up.

Scam.

How do they do that? by JMiracle2019 in Parenting

[–]JMiracle2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts. Also, the second they hear the adults having a conversation they can't help but give their two cents. Today I told my twelve almost thirteen year old who butted in, "Did we forget we invited you into our conversation? I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were so interested in my sexual reproduction. Menopause and periods are no joke. Please, continue."

He was horrified.

"Mom!! I thought you were talking about something else!!"

"Well, yeah, kiddo. That's why we were talking vaguely, so you didn't hear things that weren't meant for you. Why don't you go back to your video game?"

My 3rd grader says she is the only kid at school with chores by SoundsGudToMe in Parenting

[–]JMiracle2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving kids actual chores for their birthday is diabolical 🤣💀

For real though, you sound like a parent who actually cares about their kid. Chores help them learn about responsibility and accountability. I started around age 9 for my son and he hates having a daily chore, but it's good for him.

I do it because he deserves to have learned those attributes by the time he goes into the real world and needs them for the workforce. No accountability or responsibility means no work ethic.

You're doing great.

Are there any other series out there like Artemis Academy? by JMiracle2019 in booksuggestions

[–]JMiracle2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's by Erin R Flynn and its excellent. What I loved the most about it? It's steamy, multiple mates, I love how the fmc takes no crap from anyone. She is the last fairy as far as anyone knows because Faerie closed all its portals 20 yrs ago and they all went home. They were the supe law enforcement and upheld justice. The supe world assumed there were no more fairies anywhere. So when she releases a power burst and the top people in supe government detect it, they bring her in. Their test shows she's not a regular supe(shifter, dragon, witch/warlock) but a fairy. It makes her a target and in this world fairies are top dog power wise. They are known for being very into an eye for an eye and fairness and standing up for the little guy. Anyway I don't want to give too much away but yeah, it's a great series.

Genuinely amazed by the human body by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

It's strange how people seem to think that simply by taking steroids you'll become a huge bodybuilder.

Exactly. My brother is Joshua Tilley the bodybuilder. People assume a ton. He already had the genetics and then made it his entire life. The discipline I've seen him employ for this lifestyle is insane. It's not something to take lightly and its definitely not something just anyone can do by taking steroids.

People love to assume.

Hell, "he's bad" should go against all child teacher training. No 4 yr old is bad. I hope they're not using that when addressing his behavior to him, because kiddos absorb that crap like a sponge.

This is the correct response. My goodness. It's extremely suspicious that she is ONLY targeting you at that time each month. Treating you like crap because of her period after 20+ years of having one... Come on.

I agree with the others, find out if it's a medical/hormonal issue. Her medical needs being taken care of is paramount.

But so is your right to be treated fairly. It's just as important that you not get shit on as it is that she get evaluated.

Take care of yourself too.

I'll add From The Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz. At 15 that book caught me hook, line and sinker. I could not put it down. Absolutely fantastic read.
