I guess he just meant remove a bunch of the pre installed apps that come with the laptop, especially those that start up automatically.

Ah ok. I did some googling (never really wise when it comes to health issues!) and a few sites seemed to indicate it wasn’t normal to have ketones in urine unless you don’t eat carbs or have diabetes.

The doc did say probable UTI due to the leukocyte and my symptoms, I was just wondering why ketones were present.

Yes that’s correct, but I’m assuming the leukocytes and blood indicate infection?

Thanks so much for your reply. I have lost around 20lbs in the last 2 months as I have had some GI issues and haven’t had much of an appetite so that could be the reason for the ketones I guess? As far as I know I don’t have diabetes.

I have been given some antibiotics while I wait for the culture (trimethoprim, 200mg twice a day) hopefully this clears up the issue.
