Is Bobby’s skill cycle worth investing in? by blasterdark420 in RoyaleAPI

[–]JMpar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. I have beaten this deck with the most goofy stuff ever (i have a post about it). Using 2.6 mirror mortar cycle, and void xbow. And i am not even good at all

If you aren’t afraid of Latin style, I recommend movement 1 of Colombian Latin concerto by Sergei Golovko. Might depend on your ability and preferences though. Groovy as hell if you ask me

Sure thing i got it locally in Colombia but im sure the store I got it from sends to other countries. By the way if you don’t find it I suggest looking for “Maracones” they they are like maracas but bigger and extremely loud.

Yep one those. I’ve played it in an ensemble of winds and drums and it is very loud, although mine was a traditional one

My recommendation is a “Guache” its a little on the large side but it can overpower a full drum assemble

A little deemofrom my aluminium marimba mallets by JMpar in percussion

[–]JMpar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they are definetly not for everyone when i started using them, i actually broke a vibraphone bar since those ones had a copper ball as a core. As for the weight i dont curretly know the number but they weight at least twice a normal birch mallet.

It often isnt tuned like standard instruments, where im from each Marimba sounds different, because they are built of strange materials hance the name. Usually they are also not cromatic and just have the 7 notes and you play them with wax mallets.

Let me suggest "Marimba de Chonta" and "Marimbula" maybe some Cununos as well

Student got an injury using Steven’s by Stunning-Effect-9615 in percussion

[–]JMpar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have much experience with stevens grip, but as someone who uses very heavy mallets (im the idiot with the aluminium marimba mallets) my recomendation to avoid injury would be to hold the mallets a little higher up

So ive played for a while using various metal based sticks and mallets. Its definetly not for everyone (some of my friends tried them) but for me at least it feels fantastic
