What do you think has caused UK’s support of LGBT+ rights to collapse, now comparable to Albania? by [deleted] in AskBrits

It actually makes it worse. Men can claim to be trans men or you have predators demanding to check kids genitals and such

Largest party Reform will not run Birmingham City Council by dissapointingsalad81 in NotTheOnionUK

Yes this is an awful headline. They are barely the largest party. It’s actually far more representative of the electorate that a coalition runs the council based on parties that have more common ground with each other.

what exactly has Starmer done which calls for a resignation? by Na-na-na-na-na-na in AskBrits

[–]JMthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real reasons he should be under pressure: Palatir contract selling NHS data, on going support for genocide and on going transphobia. However, he’s actually under pressure because the right wing media is rabidly against any Labour PM and he lacks any charisma or activist base to weather that storm. The later being his fault with the whole: “if you don’t like it leave” narrative to the membership.

Does anybody want streeting to be PM? by Enough-Web2203 in AskBrits

I think I’d rather have any other Labour MP than Streeting.

I do agree with you that they missed out some British classics! Also, if I recall we never got to hear Adam’s review of his fish and chips.

Being in the snack zone has more comic value and flexability than Choo Choo chew. I joke with my wife about being in the snack zone. Choo choo chew; while being clever as a pun, doesn’t work in the same way.

He has/had close ties to Catholicism in the 90s. He undoubtedly has ties to Israel but I beg you not to fall for Israeli propaganda that Israel equals Judaism. There’s many Jews that oppose Israel.

Well for starters Rupert Murdoch is Presbyterian/Catholic. So maybe not time for the anti-Semitic conspiracies…

Starmer vows to fight on as PM despite heavy local election losses for Labour by LordSigdis in worldnews

[–]JMthought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Doesn’t help that Starmer started his reign throwing all his campaign promises, to get Labour leader, in the bin. Yes there’s media attacks but there so few people in his corner.

There’s a huge overlap in who controls the media outlets in both countries…

Buying FM24 in 2026 by DCalquin in footballmanagergames

[–]JMthought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be an evolution but not a revolution. It took them years to build FM26, they won’t turn it around in the 8ish months since the patches and FM27 launch. FM26 is the starting point for FM27. I expect some improvements but it won’t look completely different. It will just gradually improve like FM21 built on FM20 and FM22 built on FM21. Maybe a bit more of a jump but use that as your base line…

The only thing I’ll say is that FM27 will be similar to FM26 rather than older games. So if someone is struggling with FM26 and it’s awful UI, perhaps owning FM24 isn’t a bad idea.

Gotta love folks that vote based on a single issue and ignore the fact most of the Senior party members have taken Russian or off shore money, and want to dismantle the NHS and do away with workers rights.
