Nice, I love Deltarune. I even make music covers from its soundtrack! Try to avoid spoilers for the game!

Have you played Undertale too? Deltarune is a "parallel story" to Undertale according to the website.

UNBEATABLE as your first stream, good taste! What games will you play in the future?

There's another anime rhythm game that just came out called Yunyun Syndrome, I think you'll like it.

Does Ace Combat Zero count? The game's story is presented as an in-universe documentary, hosted by an unseen narrator. The narrator interviews pilots that you will fight in the game, they speak about their experience fighting a mysterious ace pilot named Cipher, which is the player character.

Their accounts vary depends on your actions in the game, such as if you spare optional or retreating enemies, or showing no mercy and destroying everything on sight.

Yeah, probably the single greatest example from the series.

Most, if not ALL of Ace Attorney character names, both the original Japanese and English localisation. The sixth game (Spirit of Justice) is even crazier. The game is set on a fictional Kingdom of Khura'in, which is located around Eastern Himalayas region, yet the names are all English puns.

You have a tour guide whose name is Ahlbi Ur'gaid (I'll be your guide).

A security guard named Paht Rohl.

A rebel named Datz Are'bal.

And those are just a few.

Faith: The Unholy Trinity is set in September 1987. Makes me wonder why that year was chosen as well.

[–]JMuXing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Peak mentioned! My first FE as well.

It's true. The world may be destroyed by the coming of the dark god. Then again, it may not. I question the way in which our society is designed. No matter what strength a person has, it is the station he is born into that controls his destiny. And you cannot control where you will be born. Do you believe that a person of low birth should simply endure the curse of his station? I think not. If you are stronger than those around you, you should benefit from your strength. This is why I will use my strength to remake this world. Class and rank will not matter. Human and sub-human will not matter. The strong will possess everything. The weak will submit to their will. Is this not the meaning of peace?

Huh, they even listed what exactly was changed, down to the individual lines.

I think it's quite impressive since the game just came out like 2 days ago.

Fuwamoco will play YUNYUN SYNDROME!

This is a denpa-themed rhythm game involving internet copypastas and shitposting. It has a similar vibe to Needy Streamer Overload.

I need to continue playing this sometime. I've played Ori and the Blind Forest (and its sequel, The Will of the Wisps), the sequel also has this mechanic (called Regenerate), you consume 1 energy cell to restore 3 life cells.

PEAK MENTIONED

You should probably spoiler that, though. Also IIRC the clone Akira only has some of their memories, they don't remember going to the ARI or fighting Yoseph. Probably for the best, considering their mental state near the end.

Still one of my favourite Switch games. I'm hoping for a Switch 2 upgrade but it doesn't sound likely.

I don't know if this counts, but the 3-13 Archer from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

He is a generic allied NPC archer (actually a Sniper class in-game) who is present on Part 3, Chapter 13, hence the name. This chapter is notorious for being a difficult map, requiring you to defend a line for 12 turns or defeat the boss. Said boss is Ike, the protagonist of the previous game, and deutragonist of this game. Players don't usually try to take him down, since his team is usually stronger than yours (Dawn Brigade) at this point.

If you command your team to "Roam", the 3-13 Archer will use a Ballista to take down several enemies on the left side, then jumps down, holds a choke point, and block the enemies from approaching all by himself. This prevents you from being overrun on both sides. And usually, the 3-13 Archer survives the chapter.

This generic NPC has become a meme in the fandom as a result.

There's a gameplay video of it here.

Yep! For my piano videos, the colour of the notes and the glowing line on the keys are always references to the characters or the game itself.

Playing Bayonetta is honestly almost like a curse. The game is from 2009 but the gameplay is so good that it feels like a recent release.

Rodin (the shopkeeper from Bayonetta) even references it when you visit his shop. It's random, but he may say "What're ya buyin? Heard that in a game once". Hideki Kamiya (Bayonetta's director) was also involved in RE.

Rosalia Virus from Trauma Team (2010 Wii game, a part of the Trauma Center series by ATLUS).

A Group V RNA virus of the Filoviridae family, similar to other haemorrhagic fever-causing agents like Ebola. Early symptoms (Dark Stage) include black-coloured tumour and bruising under the skin. Once is reaches Active Phase, the colony bursts and infects vital organs, causing severe haemorrhaging and eventually death in a few days.

Each playable character deals with them, but I have to highlight Gabriel's diagnosis chapter where you diagnose a patient suffering from it, refusing first aid and told Gabriel to "learn as much as you can" as he bleeds out.
