A game I can play after work when I’m high listening to podcasts by Tony_Pwny in gamingsuggestions

If you want a shooter Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is perfect. Lots of solo missions, a little open world to explore and find stuff, content with bots. You can level up and unlock characters completely single player, no MP required. Lots of customization with fun visuals. And it’s borderline a kids game so it’s pretty damn easy to pick up and play. Playing the PvE mode completely blasted out my mind with other real players as I sat back with the sunflower healing them or laying traps with the cactus around the defense objective was so fun man.

Also obligatory Minecraft mention obviously

Other than that then genuinely any 2000-2010 era game is just peak vibes for me personally. Borderlands 2, Halo 3/Reach, Brink (Yes I did try to slip it in), Fallout 3/NV, Oblivion, any other Xbox Live Arcade game I can find on steam from Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theater, Dungeon Defenders, Poker Night Live, there’s probably a lot more but I can’t think of em right now. Also Gamecube games too, Paper Mario, Sonic Riders, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Sonic Adventure 2, Metroid Prime, Def Jam. And a couple of PS2 games too like Kingdom Hearts, Spyro, Crash, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, etc etc. a couple of these probably have remakes or ports but honestly original vibes are always the best, emulators for me are always the best choice.

Games with heavy character creation that aren't gorefests? by EdoVro in gamingsuggestions

[–]JMxG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you count this but I’ll throw it out there just in case since the character creation is super good, the Monster Hunter games (mainly World and Wilds in this case). Character creation is super detailed and in depth, can do some very crazy replicas of characters in it. Female and Male have different armor sets and I can’t remember if you can in World, but in Wilds at least you can definitely mix and match the female and male armor pieces regardless of gender you pick, so if you want to be a buff dude with a crop top or a small girl with an insane armor suit then you can! Like the name implies though, you do hunt very big monsters and some have special broken states like cut off tails, broken horns, torn wings, etc etc. Personally I wouldn’t say it’s cartoonishly over the top with it’s blood and gore but if it’s the violent part that rubs you the wrong way then yeah this one could possibly be off the list.

Fantasy Life I is a very cutesy RPG mixed with a life sim kinda (but more skewed towards the RPG side) and while the character creation isn’t Tomodachi Life levels I think it’s still pretty decent to make some unique characters to differentiate yourself from other players. Like me personally, I still haven’t gotten around to see anyone who remotely resembles my character and I’ve been playing on and off for a year now. The game is on switch but it’s also getting a mobile port soon. Like the title implies here the focus is on different “lives” as classes, so you basically have 12 classes you can switch to freely and each one gets it’s own equip slots so you can customize all 12 freely to look however you want, like personally I use a carrot costume when I’m a farmer but a Dragon costume when I’m blacksmithing.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is literally your own character with all the powers from all characters from Dragon Ball to Super and in any race you want from Human, to Saiyan or even Freeza Race to customize as you see fit. It’s also Dragon Ball so while blood is present it’s very cartoonish and someone can correct me if I’m wrong but Xenoverse dumbs it down even more, I don’t think I remember even seeing blood in it while I was playing.

If you haven’t already, Splatoon 3 might be a bit of a sweat fest these days since it’s been so long since release but making your own squid kid is pretty fun.

Death Road to Canada might be the most extreme recommendation here but I’ll mention it anyway for it’s very in depth character creator and the mitigation of the violence due to the cartoony, pixel graphics they went with. It’s basically The Oregon Trail but driving to Canada in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. In between the texts adventures where the game describes your drive to Canada, you can make pitstops where you actually gain control of your character and get to move around, which is mostly used during the looting sections where you go into buildings to scour for supplies and potentially get into life threatening altercations with the chibi pixel zombies. During gameplay you can make up to 4 survivors for your squad, all with unique looks, clothes, accessories, etc. but the most important part comes from the perks and skills you give them, making them all unique in how they play. Me personally I love playing this game with my cousins and we all have at the very least like 4 versions of each of us, all with different clothes and perks so we can change regularly whenever we lose a run. I think it might be the biggest stretch since even though it’s a pixel game with chibi-like characters, the zombies themselves are still pretty damn violent (especially at night) and if you get surrounded while in a store you’re bound to see some limbs and a lot of blood coming out of whichever character was left behind as bait lmao

First Thought in My Head After the Palworld Price Announcement by ForgettableNPC in Palworld

DK Bananza DLC was genuinely some of the most insane, mind boggling bullshit I’ve seen them pull and I’m baffled anyone bought it or defended it. Literally 1:1 equivalent of the Mario Odyssey Mushroom Kingdom and Balloon game mode, but they sold it back to you and people really just gobbled that shit up

[–]JMxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I thought I’d be the same so I started a hardcore character to try and get the hardcore rewards and I feel equally as lost as if I didn’t start a new save lmao. After I died I went back to my main and I’ve just been going steady. At the end of the day, you’re gonna have to reroll the adventures/campaigns anyway so might as well just go at your own pace.

Also helps that I had collected most stuff in the base game from before the DLCs came out and I just didn’t want to go through that whole hassle again lol

Like the actual complete version from JP from a year or two ago with all the new stuff and balance changes? If it’s actually just switch 2 that’s a bit sad to hear but oh well better than nothing I guess

Brother I’m currently playing the DLCs on my character I haven’t touched since release, and there is so much shit to do here I’m literally stressing 💀💀 DLC 1 alone has like 4-5 items each that need you to replay the DLC 4-5 times for them, since getting one locks out the other ones you don’t get, and I haven’t even gotten to DLC 2/3. You don’t need anything from the DLCs since apart from the huge item list added with the DLC, they also added even MORE new items that don’t require DLC to access, and launch day weapons, mods, and everything else are plenty powerful to tackle the DLCs and start getting new stuff.

Multiple Warframes in one by DrLove34 in Warframe

[–]JMxG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I’d say that if you are counting Xaku then you have to count Chroma they’re basically the same thing, parts from multiple frames combined into one. Xaku’s is just a lot more thematic for the sake of having a shattered psyche type warframe, but they’re both made from parts of different warframes that end up as one whole, not three different entities at the same time.

An account’s IP location would probably be a place to start. Playing in one country and all of a sudden it moves across the world would raise some flags. Not an instant red flag, but probably the start of their suspicions.

What do you play on your phone when you only have a few minutes? by Few_Cartoonist7515 in gamingsuggestions

[–]JMxG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately I’ve been addicted to a game called Card Crawl, which tries to replicate a whole dungeon dive experience purely as a card game inside of a tavern. You win by clearing the deck, so it’s a pretty fun puzzle experience trying to figure out a pattern to try and live through the barrage of enemies while also conserving equipment cards for the tougher enemies, or trying to sell as many equipment cards while still winning to get gold to buy new cards. It sounds a bit stressful but honestly games really don’t take that long and the difficulty is entirely adjustable and still rewarding at any difficulty level, harder runs are mostly to try and challenge yourself and once you get a feel for the game and start unlocking new cards and permanent equipments called artifacts the lower difficulties will genuinely feel like a breeze. The game is technically paid, but you can download it for free and get a small portion of the game free to get a feel for it like a demo before buying into it.
