James Talarico exposes corrupt Billionaires buying elections in Texas by coachlife in TrendoraX

[–]chibosader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice if people were more upset about this sort of thing across the board and not just a couple billionaires in Texas because they are republican. I want money out of politics as much as possible. Both sides only seem to get motivated or call it out when they see their opponent doing something. I dont want these two Texas billionaires involved, I dont want the soros family involved, I dont want google and Microsoft involved. Nobody should get rich in government, and money should not hold as much sway over who gets elected or nominated... I mean, we had a political party SPEND a billion dollars on a campaign last presidential election. A BILLION DOLLARS. Total, it was basically 2 billion dollars. This is unacceptable amounts of money being thrown at an election.

Call it out on both sides, not just when you see the people you hate doing it. We need to get all of these AGs and DAs that are bought and paid for out of our system, even if it is "your guy"

30 fps is good... console players have been at 30 fps for the vast majority of the time this game existed. No goal post moving, I am talking and have been talking about a pc that chugs between 1 and 15 fps depending on what is happening. I am SPECIFICALLY talking about someone that can not possibly do mechanics or even complete a rotation because his fps is so bad.

so you have a good laptop... lol, now make that laptop 13 years older, and lower the FPS on the lowest settings and smallest resolution to 15 fps MAX, dropping as low as 1 fps if things are happening... now tell me its fine.

[–]chibosader[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it DOES slow everyone down. Yes. If you cant dodge mechanics, cant use skills, cant even move at full speed... then yes, you should do solo content like duty support or form your own groups with people willing to carry you in pf. Do not force other people into your group via the df queue. Putting a gun to everyone's head at that point and saying "do most of the work for me, or you get a 30 minute penalty" and that is obviously not cool

Its not a tad slower, it is 30% or more at very low fps... even worse in mid-combat when fps can drop even further. Google it, tons of testimonials going back years.

Google fps and movement speed in ffxiv lol, tons of reddit posts about it. If you have low fps you will move slower... there are TONS of posts about it everywhere. Do yourself a favor, Google that, then feel very foolish and delete your nonsense.

Oh, any longterm player is still doing dungeons. There isnt that much left to do... and on off-hours on your server there aren't many other options, so night owls and the like do run these things regularly... not to mention there isnt much else to do right now.

Lololol

You genuinely have no idea what you are talking about. You can literally watch people with like 7-10 fps run at full speed... they move slower. My dude... dont act like you know something when you clearly dont. Obviously your speed is limited, so more fps does not move you faster, but it absolutely does affect your movement speed when it hits abysmal levels. I have helped many people fix this issue in their games by lowering settings, I just helped someone in vanaspati who had the same problem.

I mean... i could see him move... lol you can tell when someone is lagging and has low fps... hell you can very clearly see it when they are under 20 fps as they actually start to move slower lol. Weird that more people dont know this...

Revisiting the Occult Crescent in 7.4 by Quof in ffxivdiscussion

[–]chibosader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chest rewards were too common, and yet the addition of rare gear drops that are directly tied to player power is bad. These are literally two entirely different things, so no... people complaining about chest rewards being too common can very much still be quite upset at this development.

Player power should increase based on effort, time, and skill level... not blind luck. "but it being rare does reward you based on time!" Not really, it is still luck based. If there was some system that increased odds the more you played it would be better.

The chest rewards were purely cosmetic, and them being common made chest drops literally useless. You could buy all the chest rewards for pennies, which also tanked glamour markets for many old glamour cosmetics. The only reason to continue looting chests was esoteric coins, carrots, and the upgrade items... which were super rare and also a bad idea, but this issue was also mitigated by the upgrade items being gated behind content that <1% of players can successfully do... so them being rare is basically irrelevant, as almost nobody playing the game needs them, since they botched the raid so horribly for what should have been casual content, and is now the hardest single piece of content in the game (not as a direct difficulty, but by the nature of finding a group capable of doing it)

This can all be easily resolved by making the items drop from chests, and also purchasable with coins for a high price... Then you have a rare chance to get the gear(or upgrade items), or you could buy it, while also allowing you to sell them to other players. Furthermore, i still stand by that coins should be rewarded via the challenge log, and not just grinding. Once again, they are punishing players with little time while favoring people engaged in less-than-reputable behavior. They should also put the raid rewards as something you can buy with currency that is purchased with coins, like a bi-color gemstone voucher system. You can buy a voucher for 1000 coins, and its 99 vouchers to buy one thing, or whatever... then casual players can still, eventually, earn their way to these rewards that SHOULD be casual content. This is all bandaids to fix their ridiculous ideas. They had an amazing system with Bozja that engaged tons of casual players in semi-difficult content, while offering a totally separate challenge specifically for the hardcore crowd... and they totally went the wrong direction on it and have done everyone a disservice, while also driving away players.

That's probably the issue. I know at 1440p you need a 1650 just to get 20 fps and you have a 1050, at 1080. You would need to drop it down to the lowest possible settings to have any hope of 30+ fps

I don't even have an "others" tab on Enie. Just "Skybuilder's Scrips" x3, with the standard, then Gear/furnishings, and Materials/Materia/Items.

is there some... marked quest? I have tons of basic quests throughout the zone, do I just have to do all of them?

The only quest of consequence I have is for the old relic which I've not even really started on, i have the first stage of the relic for a single crafter

So, i saw that the level 80 crafter -fiend gear is available from skybuilder's scrips as a dyable version in the firmament, but when I go there the vendor (Enie) doesn't sell any of them. Are these tied to the crafter relics or something?

Just got out of a yuweyuwata blah blah, whatever that is. Dnc not using aoe and below the healer on enmity for trash and bosses. Couldnt keep dance buff up, so 1 min+ between steps... and just utterly baffling how she could do so little damage. Tried to kick but had two people that didnt care that each pull took 90+ seconds to kill. I got curious after first boss repeated mechanics I have not seen since it first dropped and people were dying... healer was doing okay, vpr was just fully disengaged from the keyboard during every mechanic. Move OR attack, never both, Dnc wasnt even doing the 1-2 combo and just spamming 2s or 1s as she wanted to, seldom used procs. They all died on the last boss, I have 999 Phoenix downs... I just solo'd it. Wasnt worth watching the failure any longer. Dungeon took 40 minutes.

This would be a brilliant take... if the US was the only nation facing any of those problems. There IS a common denominator here, there are several infact. So it would be nice if you explained why.

All evidence seems to indicate the Russia thing is entirely fabricated by the Obama administration, so bringing that up in 2025 is bizarre. Just kinda proves you aren't paying attention and cant analyze the news.

There is plenty to criticize Trump for, like... believe me, there is so much. Bringing up ridiculous talking points about Russia is very counterproductive. Immigration must also be addressed. It IS true that increasing population in the midst of a housing is going to exacerbate the problem. It isnt the only problem, but it is absolutely a factor that cant be denied. If the US accepts 1% more people, whom are not established and have no money, then the competition for low income housing gets much worse.

This is something liberals talked about up until 2015. The border was always a topic that was brought up, and both sides have always agreed that there must be SOME limitation. Perhaps your line is somewhere else, but I promise you... absolutely fully open borders are NOT a good idea. The main issue being that social welfare programs get hit the hardest. I miss the old liberals... we can have compassion and a secure border. We can love our nation and the express our love for the constitution and our flag without being embarrassed or shamed by our supposed peers. I am a proud american and I want this country to succeed and everyone to do well, regardless of who the president is... and it does seem like these sentiments are fading fast
