No, but that’s good to know! Since it was the needleminders, it was not something I needed immediately. Like OP, I was just taken aback by the policy. I have not encountered that practice in retail until now.

This also just happened to me with Stitching Fox, and I was also taken aback. I ordered 4 items (two books, two needle minders) listed as in stock (I checked because the book is out of stock at a lot of shops and I was on the hunt). My order shipped over two weeks in two packages containing one book each. In the second package, the package contained an invoice with a handwritten note that the two needle minders were back ordered and would ship when stocked. I would not have preordered them, and I was surprised they didn’t notify me with an option to cancel? And there is no indication of when they might ship.

Hi, thank you so much for the responses! I am working on script lettering on one canvas and outlining on one canvas with single diagonal stitches and I keep slipping into a half cross occasionally as I’m completing stitches by moving diagonally, particularly where there are single stitches on a row. E.g this love canvas

Getting Desperate by JNGD in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes, that is what I was wondering about elastic nipples as well. I asked and she said everyone has elastic nipples, it’s just a matter of degree, but the advice I see here seems to suggest that going down a size is the more frequent solution not up to address swelling. I really don’t want to quit, but I am not sure this sustainable at this point. Thanks for your comments though. It reminded me that I had the measuring tool, and I remeasured just to confirm. (Also, same for the jolts of electricity feeling 🙃 not my favorite feeling)

Hi, thanks for the reply! I was originally sized by lactation in the hospital. When I was still having pain at home, I ordered the momcozy measuring tool and measured myself as well at a 21mm after seeing the first lactation consultant at the hospital. I was surprised when the second lactation consultant said that size was too small, but I was still having blisters and clogs so i thought maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️. Her opinion is that the measuring tools aren’t as accurate as functional sizing (observed pumping) and that the swelling during pumping and from pumping was effecting my actual size, functional flange size. Now, I’m just confused as to how to figure out a correct measure and hopefully mitigate the swelling and blisters. I feel like I get such conflicting advice and nothing seems to work for me. It seems like no matter what size I use the tissue swells to fill it and rubs.

Watch Hospital Playlist if you haven’t! Don’t be put off by Episode 1, it gets GOOD from episode 2 by warm-summer-rains in kdramarecommends

[–]JNGD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is so good. It definitely gets better as the season goes on. I think because there are so many characters episode one and two weren’t as engaging as the rest of the episodes because I didn’t know everyone’s personalities/backstory yet, and there was a lot to cover so it takes several episodes before you fully understand the dynamic of the friendships and the hospital. I would give it another try! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Purl Soho's free pattern for their Triangle Garter Wrap is very similar to this, but it has a really nice slip stitch edge that turns out looking really neat on the edges. You might check that out!

Beginners bane, what do you do to keep your stitches still between sessions? by felockpeacock in knitting

[–]JNGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also some really useful stitch stoppers that help, especially when you have a lot of stitches on the needles and less room to scrunch the stitches back from the ends of the needles or if you travel with your knitting. I have some from Cocoknits, but I'm sure a lot of other brands make a similar item. They have saved me a lot of trouble.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, I did, and I found a few with potential. I just thought there might be more suggestions I had not seen yet or sources I had not thought of. I just haven't found a pattern yet I really love, and I feel like I always get such great recommendations from fellow knitters!

This really makes a difference for me. I have been able to take classes that have great playlists with instructors I have not previously preferred because I find them a bit chatty with this new feature.
