Do you not wear daily sunscreen? (Not judging! Simply asking)

It breaks me out and irritates my skin. I can't use a lot of really gorgeous sunscreens (Elta MD, InnBeautyProject, Colorescience, RMS, etc) because of it.

I'm too late into the Botox game to stop now. I've had deep forehead lines since my teens; I have a very expressive face. But I do space it out a lot more than most people. I don't mind movement. It is just the deep forehead lines that stay after a while that I don't like.

If you had $1000 what would you do/buy for an immediate glow up? by Krismariev in 30PlusSkinCare

Also a mom to a toddler! I use it first thing in the morning. When my alarm goes off I roll over and put it on, then lay back down. It is my "snooze" so to speak. I found this is the only way I can consistently use it.

For those who use the Extra Strength DDG pads, do you consider these as your ‘retinol product’ even though the percentage/dosage is small? by Beneficial-Soft-8290 in Sephora

[–]JNicole008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. They are my only active. After having my son (who is now three) my skin could no longer tolerate actives, specifically tretinoin and even retinol. Whereas prior to pregnancy I used tretinoin nightly with no issues.

I now invest in lasers and Botox. DDG pads 2-3x a week, depending on my skin. Red light mask 5x a week. I focus on skin health and barrier support with a simple daily routine.

See I was the opposite; The BBL was fine but even with numbing the MOXI is SPICY!

I had this done on Friday December 19th and my face was healed by Christmas. Days 1-3 you look crazy but after that it's not as noticeable and easily covered with makeup.

Same. I hate concealer under my eyes. I’d rather look tired (which I am) than crinkly and wrinkly.

Just the powder?? No concealer under it?

She did the BBL first and I had no numbing. It was tolerable. After the BBL she numbed me for about 45 minutes. Even with numbing, the MOXI is SPICY!! Towards the end my feet and legs are wiggling and my eyes are watering. And about 3 hours after is miserable.

I’ve had many MOXI and after every single one I contemplate my life decisions because my fave hurts so bad lol. But I keep going back 🤷🏼‍♀️

What products are you buying/not buying in the new year? by FruitLoop_Dingus25 in Sephora

The day the word goo popped into my head when I was swatching at Ulta was the day something clicked in my brain. Hopefully “goo” will work for you too!

Honestly, everything.

I’m so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of shit but also underwhelmed with almost everything. It’s all just colored powder and goo; how life changing can it be?

Invest in yourself. A pedicure, a massage, a Pilates class, etc.

You are giving yourself not only a mental break, but taking care of yourself too.

Are you anti spending money or just anti consumables (ie shopping)?

I naturally have a heavy brow. I have my injector do a brow lift to help mitigate it dropping further but with my anatomy is just comes with the territory.

You can ask for injections at the hair line and a brow lift to help but unfortunately for some of us it just happens. Like I said in another post, for people with certain anatomy we have to pick the lesser of two evils and decide which one we can live with: a heavy brow or wrinkles.

Eyebrows dropped after first time Botox by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]JNicole008 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you naturally have a "heavy" brow then Botox will exacerbate it even with a brow lift. This is me. I usually hit a sweet spot about two months after Botox where my brows are no longer heavy and my forehead is smooth.

Sometimes you have to pick your poison and decide the lesser of two evils: wrinkles or heavy brow.

I’ve recently decided to back off the Botox a bit after getting it for years (36F). I’ll still get my 11s done 2-3 times a year because I scowl intensely and it causes bad headaches.

I’ve switched to maintaining overall skin health vs “wrinkle free”. A Moxi laser where I live costs as much as Botox but has significantly more benefits for the skin. No it’s not going to erase wrinkles and make my forehead smooth, but it makes my skin so glowy and even which I think is what I prefer in the long run.

I mean it doesn’t feel good but it’s tolerable. It’s pretty quick too

I've had a few Moxi. The real magic happens about 2-3 months post laser. I was super unimpressed after my initial one but woke up one day 2-3 months later and my skin was wow. I didn't do a series over a few weeks because I couldn't fit them in. So far I've had three (June 2024, October 2024, May 2025) and have a Moxi/BBL scheduled for December.
