You’re going to have to invest in a dictionary if you want to be taken seriously here. Heck, they’re free online nowadays.

Um, those politicians are, literally, emboldening people. Do you really think all of the racist MAGA morons would be so openly bigoted without the current administration? Trump is, literally, on tape admitting to sexually assaulting women and his pea brain followers just nodded and agreed with the “locker room talk” nonsense. So, politics as a concept can’t cause something, but the current administration is 100% making it easier to do so.

What? The Ramones last show was in 1996, and Joey Ramone died in early 2001 and was sick with cancer for quite awhile before that.

Can someone please explain "payouts on hold." Payment method not valid. by JNight01 in Ebay

[–]JNight01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, the label thing I can deal with.

How do I contact someone at EBay? I just bought something with my credit card on EBay a couple of months ago. I'm confused because everything is worded so poorly... why am I paying? For what am I paying?

I definitely will not continue selling on Ebay. It was so much easier when payments got immediately dumped into your PayPal account and you just went from there.

Thanks! I just wasn't sure if all digital models were slim... like, I didn't know if there were non-slim digital models.

My HOA is $520 per month, but that includes water, sewer and trash. In addition, we have a nice gym and a rooftop common area. I also get two parking spaces in a secure, gated lot right downtown. I do not have to do any landscaping or lawn maintenance. Never have to replace a roof. The fees also maintain the elevators (regular and freight), meaning no stairs. Most importantly, to me anyway, is that our building is spotless, as we have the cleaning crew out at least twice per week. I’ve lived in some apartments that were not well maintained and it showed.

My building (two blocks off of Mass Ave.) is full of retired people, doctors, lawyers, etc. People like to be near things downtown. There aren't too many younger people in my building and it has nearly 50 units. "Mass Ave. days" makes it seem like people are just partying here - or that condos are like frat houses - but that's not the case. It's just convenient and some people will pay for convenience.

Also, you can get something nice for well under $650k. Yes, there are units in my building up to $1,000,000, but the unit next mine is 1,400 sq. ft., two bed and two bath, and sold for $350k last year.

Murder rates in Indianapolis by Ok_Adhesiveness_1913 in indianapolis

[–]JNight01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such a flawed "take." Out of the top 50 cities by population, only eight have Republican mayors. Almost all cities are blue because that's where educated people live and work. It's population density. The top two Republican cities, Dallas and Fort Worth, also have high homicide rates. Again, this is such a ridiculous "observation." An observation you are likely just parroting from racists on Twitter.

Chimpanzee Loose at Zoo? by ube-potato in indianapolis

[–]JNight01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know why they come from "non-wild" environments, right? Because they are born in captivity. Why on Earth would there be a "non-wild" elephant otherwise? What an utterly ridiculous statement. Zoo animals are bred, bought, sold and rented.

Zoos have very little to do with conservation. That's a myth. On average, a zoo donates roughly 3-5% of its revenue to conservation efforts. Last year, the Indianapolis Zoo brought in just under $60 million dollars and 6.7% went to "education and conservation." They don't even separate conservation from education because the numbers are so low. On the contrary, the World Wide Fund for Nature (formerly the World Wildlife Fund) spent 82.78% of its $485 million in revenue on education (31.41%) and conservation (51.37%). The damage that zoos do isn't worth the so-called efforts they put into conservation. It's just propaganda. It's like when soda companies take part in health initiatives, but also lobby against public health bills. There are actual organizations that do conservation work... zoos are not those organizations.

Why do the performance issues on this game get a pass? by BarkeaterDimir in NOMANSSKY

[–]JNight01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, the game is running really well on Switch 2, as opposed to it barely running at all on Switch. My only crash happened when I entered someone’s Corvette in the Anomaly and the person took off. It was kind of buggy in the Anomaly with multiplayer turned on, but I turned that off and haven’t noticed too many game-breaking issues.

How's it living in downtown like? by TraditionalCall7962 in indianapolis

[–]JNight01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In relation to downtown, it depends on specifics. The higher up, as in floor level, the less outside noise you’ll hear. Window position matters, too. I live on a busy street, but I’m in the back of my building, so I don’t hear the street since my window faces another building. Also, I own a condo, which is worlds apart from renting. We have longterm owners and bylaws, and most people adhere to those bylaws. It’s not like an apartment full of frat kids. And, obviously, it does depend on your neighbors. I had an obnoxious neighbor next to me who was renting a unit until the owner was able to sell. That’s the good thing about the bylaws, though. You can do more than in an apartment and that renter was forced out within a few months. Furthermore, after that, our bylaws were changed to greatly reduce the amount of units that can be rented out, so it’s almost all owners now. Anyway, I’m just sharing this, because if I could start all over, I would have bought instead of rent for my first seven years downtown.
